This. Skyrims compression is just ridiculous.

i really wished xbox didn't have the dvd or else this game would have had las venturas and san feiro!! it makes me mad

How do you know that?

I think GTA's style of creating a big environment, filling it with content, and making you run errands within that environment can fit one disc, easily. Saints Row 3, GTA4, and Red Dead did it. I think the FMV, Dialog, and detailed characters made L.A. Noire a beast. It damn sure wasn't the side missions, music, and mini games.

Mark my words: GTA5 will be one disc on the 360.

I've played GTA IV but not RDR or LA Noire. Can someone who has played them tell me how much bigger are than GTA IV?

If the game is so big that needs more than 1 DVD, I think Microsoft will have a problem: Rockstar won't be able to "force" an install on the 360 because Microsoft forces every game to be able to work on their non-HDD consoles, so they will have to go with disc swapping, and with a game like this one, that may hurt their sales.

Here's a comparison:

2.5 times the map of RDR would be massive compared to GTA IV

Thanks for that! If Rockstar want GTA V to be 2.5x the size of that, it will be huge.

That is, IF it is true.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Kinda hoping for 1 disc Multiplayer + HD textures, 1 disc Singleplayer.

If they make the "standard" textures the same quality as GTA 4, i can see it being feasible.

Though I'm just gonna go with: Not gonna worry about it, Rockstar will figure it out :)

PS: They may just be able to fit it on one disc.
