Well the last present I gave to my last gf was a set of 15$ earrings and she loved them and my reward was better than the one from the 300$ watch. I'll never buy an expensive gift for a gf again, I believe that when gf's recieve the expensive gift they somehow think they own you.

I gave to my longer lasting ex girlfriend once a ring and once a necklace, both of the same designer and both in the range from 50 to 100 euros.
