Forums - Sony - Meet The Main Characters Of Digimon World Re:Digitize

Scans from Shueisha’s V-Jump magazine bring a few scant details of Digimon World Re:Digitize. As you may recall, the protagonist of Re:Digitize is a 14-year-old boy who ends up in the Digital World.

After reading a mysterious e-mail, he ends up in the digital world. Along with him, his best friend, Nikolai, ends up in the Digital World, too. While not an unusual premise for the Digimon series, This was also the basic premise for the original Digimon World, which makes sense, since Namco intend for this to be an homage to that game.

Once in the Digital World, the protagonist meets Agumon. Nikolai ends up with Gaomon. Nikolai is described as passionate and harbouring a strong sense of justice, and Gaomon is stoic and loyal.

The protagonist also meets a mysterious girl named Akiho Rindou, who gets along well with Digimon and follows the protagonist around. By the time you meet her, she has a Garudamon, who is kind and seems to look after her.

Namco Bandai still haven’t specified a release date forDigimon World Re:Digitize, save that it will be released sometime in 2012. The game is being developed by Tri-Crescendo, known for the development of Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon.

In addition to Digimon World, the V-Jump issue also mentions a Digimon mobile phone game, slated for release this year.

So any idea what system this is going to show up on? I am really excited for this game! Not the mobile game so much....

I want the system of Digimon world 1. It's fun and addicting. It's like Tamagotchi or a pet simulator with RPG elements. And I read somewhere that it will be like Digimon world 1 but it's still a rumor.

omg Digimon I loooove it so much!!

I hope they port it to 3DS cuz I don't have a PSP

I do not think I have ever seen those things in the video. What are they? Just like tamogatchi?

Really? Oh well, I'll just explain it to you and I'll find a video later.

You have to feed your digimon, let it rest and etc. Your digimon also poop in the game. LOL.

You also train your Digimon in order for it to get stronger. Just like in the anime your digimon also digivolve but the digivolution varies on how you raise your Digimon so you have to raise your digimon well if you want it to digivolve to a stronger Digimon. I vaguely remember but I think your Digimon dies if you you don't let your digimon rest or feed it.
