After the warner going to Blu ray exclusives, i don't think there is any reason for MS to keep offering HD DVD external player for XBOX 360... so i do think they need to provide their customer with better option (not in terms of quality or price or feature but only terms of the one which is going to provide more content).
So do u think its going to happen or MS will continue to offer HD DVD.?

Microsoft have far too much pride for that to happen and Sony would rub the **** in about that.
The 360 has proved itself for me as as a decent stand alone games system and it knows what it is, the 360's big selling point is the software sales and online capabilities - IMO they wont be too concerned with the whole Blu Ray / HD DVD thing.
As long as multi platform releases sell better on the 360 than the PS3 - they have nothing to worry about as that is kinda rendering the PS3's extra power as useless for most games as companies will rarely go there and make a game that wont work on 360.

I doubt that they will. The HD dvd player was always pushed as an add on for the system and not one of the main reasons to buy it.
I doubt they will worry about adding blu ray this generation as at best it barely would push the system.

What are you guys talking about? Of course MS will release a Blu-ray addon drive if the HD-DVD format dies out. Why wouldn't they want to offer a selling point against the PS3?

The HD-DVD drive was added to the 360 as a measure to muck up the format war and try and prevent Bluray from taking off. It was only done to slow the growth of an HD disc and thus make things easier for a download service to take off.
And I'm sure the profits from the add-on didn't hurt either.

It dosn't mean they partnered for it. They sell computers with the most popular operating system.
Microsoft did say that they will bend to customer preference if Blu-ray wins. Lets wait till CES. Who announced the HD-DVD drive btw?
