Anyway, if the Christian God is all-good, then he wouldn't mind people working on his Sabbath day to provide a living for yourself and your family.

I guess that fable never heard of a "shabbesgoy" (you write it like that??

Well, from that fable you culd probably guess that he wasn't in a Jewish community because his neighbours were Christian.

Also, by fable, I should've meant 'story told by psre teacher'. Damn KS3 education.

No, I believe that religion nowadays is getting turfed because of more freedom over our beliefs.

Peoples greed of money has nothing to do with it, really. Seeing as people are SPENDING the money on Sundays, and people working on Sundays generally (key word) aren't earning lots of it.
