Forums - Gaming - what is your personal take on batman arkham city?

I love the game, but the city is kind of small. They nailed the look and feel of the batman universe. So far the boss battles are kind  of lame, but I like the combat controls. the riddler challenges are annoying in my opinion, but the challenge maps are pretty fun. overall the game is pretty fun,but the city is kind of small and the boss battles aren't all that great. I give the game a 8/10.

Too soon for that. I'm having a ton of fun but the amount of content is actually a little overwhelming. Only a few hours in for me, though. I'm loving it. As for the city being too small, it's just a small part of Gotham City that was turned into a prison.

Now, my take on that is about the same as my take on the "No Man's Land" story from Batman way back in 1997--who in the fuck would just abandon a city (or part of one) and let the bad guys just run free? It makes no sense! But when I overlook that little tidbit, I think it's one of the best games I own. Graphics seem like a step down from Arkham Asylum for some reason, though.

I've not played too much so far, but I've loved every minute of what I have. I like the changes to the Riddler trophies, where they're rarely just lying around somewhere to pick up like they were in AA, and you have to figure out what you have to do to get each one.
