Well i would offer my thoughts but out of respect for Seece I won't.

hum why not yahoo at the right price.... it is not only a search engine (and isn't the search part already subcontracted to bing anyway???? I thought I read that somewhere) but the rest is also important..... a lot of people still use yahoo messenger or e mail .... that combine with skype and hotmail/msn and you have a power house of IM/video conferencing..... then you have the news part and other services.... I personally use yahoo finance a lot for my quick check of daily finance news.... and a lot of people do too.... and yahoo answer is also a big service I have checked for a lot of dumb question I was wondering the answer.... etc etc.... yahoo as way more value than people want to believe.... it is still rank number 4 globaly on alexa and number 3 in the US..... so yeah yahoo is not dead yet.....

Because Yahoo add revenue isn't growing like it's competitors, it's a staggnating company.

As for the search part, right now Yahoo pays Microsoft to use Bing ( and despite that Bing is still loosing money) so there isn't a lot of benefit in the search area in purchasing Yahoo... Google has won the search business and that wat is over...

In this business if you don't grow you die, and Yahoo hasn't been able to grow in a while ( compared to Google, Amazon, Facebook and co).

This isn't the car making business where revenue doesn't vary a lot year over year.....
