Plastic will sit on our planet for years! Plastic has harful chemicals. There are more trees on the planet now then there were a hundred years ago.  Plus controllers are probably not even made out of number 1-5 plastic. Non recyclable. Just to make these controllers in China the chemicals being dumped wherever they are being dumped will harm the planet for years. 

Cows are not endangered. So leather is good. Less cows equal less methane being produced on the planet.

The military has to recycle 90 percent of its brass that they use, so that is not really a problem either, as we have plenty of brass.

In fact the only thing you are right about in your above statement is that it is not good for humans.

The milk that you pour down your sink from your cereal bowl each morning probably does more damage to the environment than this controller.
