Forums - Gaming - Trying to find the name of an SNES game...

Could be Young Merlin, but the grahpics seem a little bit older than what I remember.

I might just need to look through all of my older Nintendo Powers and see if I can find it. Going through 80-odd issues in consecutive order will be interesting to do :-\

Try to check The Twisted Tales of Spike McFang and Ultima : The Balck Gate too.

What do I win ?

Your comment about a MiddleAge time frame put me in a wrong way.

Also that Quintet masterpiece is spelled Terranigma !

Hey, I found out what that game was! It's! It's.....ummm you already found it. Well then..... Good for you. I gotta go put some magazines back into my closet. You sure it wasn't Young Merlin?

Young Merlin rocked big time.

Just remembering the SNES and its games: Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire 3, Secret of Mana, Illusion of Gaia, Final Fantasy 3, Young Merlin, LoZ: Link to Past etc. makes tears come to my eyes. For me, to be quite frank, that is the golden age of gaming. nothing these days can come close to the greatness of this game library.

Faxanadu - and that's why I asked about the game.

Merely because I played oh-so many perfect and awesome SNES games back in the day. My SNES library includes almost every good RPG from the era that's now all worth lots of cash.

Breath of Fire 1/2, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, FFVI, RoboTech, SMRPG, Lufia, and alot others. I was very spoiled with quality games on the SNES. Too bad I bought a N64 right after it (yes, that's a pot shot against the N64, but it's obvious why).

Mr. Stick - you are right, it was Breath of Fire 1 and 2 that I played. Unfortunately, since I am from Germany, we never got games like Chrono Trigger, FF3 and some of the other RPGs to Europe. Only time I ever imported games. Luckily, we got Secret of Mana and Illusion of Gaia and the likes.

Never had as much fun playing a game with a friend than playing secret of mana in coop...
