Soo...everyone remembers Final Fantasy XIV right? The disappointment Yoichi Wada so commonly refers to? Well apparently they just aren't happy with it so they decided to just remake the damn thing.

Note to PC users who purchased the game: This entire update will be FREE to you. In Nov 2012 they will "merge" the game into 2.0. You then will get your original 30 day free trial back when the 2.0 version goes on sale. This will allow you to make to make up your mind if you want to stay or not.

Apparently they have a team of 250 people currently working on FFXIV 2.0

In other news: Subscription for current FFXIV begins at the end of November.

I really don't think they will screw up this time as they showed us that they know the brand has been damaged because of FFXIV. I'm confident the game will be much better (not too hard to do anyway).

I'm playing FFXIV again tbh and i'm in a happier place now with the game. It is much better but I didn't think they were just going to remake the damn thing. Lol.

wait so as of right now is the game free-to-play on pc?

Technically yes. It has been since launch. However that changes soon. So if you want to test 2.0 for "cheaper" it's probably better to buy the game now for cheap and wait until 2.0 releases so you dont get stuck paying 50 dollars.

Battle system is much fun now but I will put it on hold until we get 2.0. In the other hand, I've been playing FF11, I don't know why I keep coming back.
