HD-DVD owners should start to panic.

Not really.  I have two HD DVD players but bought them knowing HD DVD had no chance of winning the war.  I saw it as an investment in a very high quality DVD player at a cheap price which as a bonus had a HD DVD player built in and I am sure many other HD DVD owners feel the same way.  And when Blu-Ray wins the HD DVD players and movies you have already bought won't all of a sudden stop working.

I predict movie price drops for HD-DVD. Of course it would be a desperate move, but if it actually helps drive sales*, we could be in for a longer haul.

*And you'd be a liar to say there is no possibility that it could help sales. Note I wrote "could", not "will".

Comments like that indicate a troll, and not a real fan of blu-ray, as real fans enjoy the movies, not obsess over making the other side "suffer".

Yea so 10% of dvd sales are High def just so you know and rising.

No. That 10% is for players. Movies are still stuck at around 5%.

No your movies wont stop working but if you stick with HD-DVD your movie variety will be extremely limited.  I guess you have excess money if you spend it on a product that will be eventually forgotten.

BLU-Ray all the way.

Do you think that this sudden move by Warner Bros. will cause Universal and Paramount to switch sides.

I would be typing in allcaps and swearing then.

I'm just disgusted someone is gloating rather than, you know, enjoying their blu-ray films. It's clear this guy cares more about the former than the latter.

Meh, I don't really care who or what wins. I just like to watch a movie. The HD movies are just a treat to me, like once in a while. I'll watch any format no matter what. All it is is clearer picture and better sound. At least my laptop plays both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray (it says it does; I've never tried it yet...).
