They have a deal with a major Bollywood studio. that must count for something right?

I just gets worse for HD-DVD. Penton-man, the insider who called the WB deal two weeks ago, has also hinted that Universal will be going neutral.
Its only a matter of time until Universal and Paramount Dreamworks join the Blu-Ray format.
HD-VMD? That technology is stillborn.
HVD on the other hand...
Okay, I'm not serious. But maybe in 10 years time...

At $15k for players and $180 for discs I think it will be a whiel befreo HVD reach the mass market. You are proably right wit the 10-15 years guess.
Yeah I don't see Nintendo using Blu-ray or HD-DVD, but HD-VMD might be good for them, since its obscure enough to keep away the pirates

Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)
I have never heard of HD-VMD. What is it.
Ah well, I thought it was kinda obvious Blu-ray was gonna win. It's been steadily outselling HD DVD by a large margin, right? Still, it's gonna be yeeeaaars before this becomes mainstream. No-one I know owns a Blu-ray player, lots of people have never even heard of it. Furthermore, there's hardly any support. When I was in a CD/DVD store some time ago they had all of 12 different Blu-ray movies. :p As opposed to, what, 3,000 DVDs? :p

A red laser format. Was this tech also in the running for superiority? What studios support this so called format?
