Forums - PC - HDMI Monitor issue.

Ok so briefly my setup is,

windows 7-64 bit

HD Radeon 6950

Asus VH238H monitor

(don't actually see a point in posting everything else)

I have built my PC already and have just recently, literally it arrived today, upgraded my monitor to the Asus VH238H. Previously I had a old school monitor that only used VGA, I wanted to go 1080p hdmi. But for some reason I can not get the VH238H to run in hdmi. It works fine with a VGA cord or DVI cord but when hdmi is used, can not display [insert last video type uses; like if i just had vga in then hdmi it would say vga can not display same with dvi to hdmi]

I have tried restarting the computer with hdmi in, nil.

I have tried going through countless configs in the amd catalyst thing, nil.

Google led me to no help, just a couple posts suggesting the above.

hdmi cable does in fact work with ps360 so thats ok.

Drivers are up to date on the pc did not quite find anything driver wise for the monitor, doubt there is.

Only thing I can personally think of is uninstalling my videocard drivers and reinstalling them, I dunno.

Any suggestions or should I just RMA this back to newegg?
