Forums - Gaming - THQ and Crytek Collaborate to Develop Next Homefront Title

Ok, guys. It's not Crytek who will develop the game but Crytek UK, aka "Free Radical", so it will have good graphics and good gameplay.

Btw, yesterday there was news about Crytek stating that they where happy with the WiiU dev kits they have and the amount of memory it has... and it was based on what "the guys at Nottingham" said. Homefront 2 on WiiU?

Please excuse my bad English.

Gameplay could go either way with Free Radical. I think they made Haze, right? I know they did great work on Timesplitters but their more recent work is kind of... yea. They also worked primarily on the multiplayer of Crysis 2. Did anyone play that for more than a month? I know I didn't even touch it outside of the PC Beta.

Even with Haze's failure, their games are usually fun to play.

There goes that next gen Timesplitters sequel rumour I guess

@TheVoxelman on twitter

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

i would much rather timesplitters 4 then this!! why timesplitters the greatest fps ever made [name 1 fps that is better then it]

Personally like the make-up of Homefront. Sure its not the best game ever but that doesn't make it bad. The graphical style of the Unreal Engine 3 suited the setting and the single-player was quite enjoyable. Currently addicted to the multiplayer in a way I never was when playing Modern Warfare 2, and thats without the online Battle Pass.

Only thing that worries me with Crytek developing the sequel is the multiplayer component, as I hated multiplayer on Crysis 2.

I played for two and half months and now I'll play again for the achievement. It is avery good game that should not be understated.

I really enjoyed it. But it is clear that the learning curve was complicated and painfulbeyond the with leg problems, hit detection and others. As I have seen in a recent article how bad the way Crytek has released the map packs and simply messed upthe lists of games.

Not to mention the lack of updates to fix bugs and balance the gameplay.

But I hope that this will serve as experience for Crytek and HF2 are an evolutionand from the first, and "Crysis 3" show us a Avatar-like graphics worthy of the next generation

I liked the red dawn concept of homefront,but everything else was seriously lacking.

This is good news for Homefront fans.

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

Sounds like Homefront will get an increase in quality!
