Forums - Gaming - Bethesda & id Software Beautiful Rage TV Spot

SilleGamer

Bethesda, in conjunction with id Software, have released a stunningly rendered TV Spot for upcoming first-person shooter Rage. The over-the-top, carnage-ridden trailer aired during the Michigan Vs Notre Dame College football game and showcases the insane title’s gorgeous visuals, chaotic action and monstrous boss battles.

RAGE is a groundbreaking first-person shooter that takes place on a post-apocalyptic Earth, which has been devastated after an asteroid impact wipes out nearly all civilization. You remained protected in an underground shelter, and emerge to find other survivors attempting to rebuild what was lost to the asteroid. Dangerous mutants and raiders add to the hardship of living under an oppressive government regime, a regime that decides to take a special interest in you.

Compelling first-person shooter action and unique vehicle combat add to the revolutionary visuals rendered by the new id Tech 5 engine. With the arrival of RAGE, id Software adds another chapter of excellence into their long history of innovation in the gaming industry.

Developed by id Software, the highly anticipated Rage will release for PS3, 360 & PC on October 4th, 2011 in North America and October 7th, 2011 across Europe.

I will be getting this, I know a friend that really likes Motorstorm and First Person Shooters so he will probably get it.

I think it looks awful.

Why so?

Oh, hello Boutros! I haven't seen you for a while on this site, I guess I don't look on this site that much.

I never actually bought a game that is a first instalment in a franchise, this will be my first time.

The art style reminds me of Borderlands (which I thought was awful) and the gameplay seems awfully uninspired.

If this game came out 1-2 months ago I would have got it but right now ive lost interest

I'm so enraged for this!

^ See what I did there?

It was planned before Borderlands and also won a few awards after crtics played it at the latest E3.

coming from id software this must turn out to be a pretty good game--i'll probably pick it up post-launch
