Why doesn't SE just remake the games exactly how they were with just 3d characters running over prerendered backgrounds. I thought the RE1 remake on the gamecube was really good and it wouldn't take the 10 years that SE is claiming it would. Since its an rpg there really isn't any need to have the ability to change the camera anyway.With the blu-ray disk they could really put some high resolution backgrounds and with enough camera angles and close ups on certain areas it could look really good.
Just look at this screen with just some high rez battle characers in place of the normal overworld characters and it doesn't look bad at all. Just think with FF13 level character modes and a high rez backdrop it would look awesome. This could be done with any of the ps FFs.

this video also shows a Pc mod of it with high rez graphics without doing too much to the overall game just switching out some character models and textures is enough. If you skip to 10:00 you can really see what I mean.
