Also, we've got a good first day going on. One of the best in a while, it would be foolish to let it end on a timelimit.

Vote: Time extension

except there's plurality not majority, so for that i'm not willing to extend.

Does this equate to whoever has the most votes when the time expires is lynched?

if the remainder voteless turned to no lynch and still didn't beat the top runner then I think so.

with 12 voters if we had 4 - 3 - 3 - 2 on the votes, the 4 would be hammered.

Unlike nen, Linkz ignoring my question is making me second guess his alliance.

Last time I'll discuss my non-penalized issue. Do you guys think if everyone claimed Town/Townie/Pro-town/whatever the PMs say that as the penalty cycled through the list we could confirm 2 or 3 of the 8 or 9 townies by their loss of vote? It's an exploit which doesn't belong in this game or any other.

if 2 people claimed they would not get the same penalty... at least that is what I gathered from wonk's post. and thus it's not possible to confirm anything.

Say the bomb claims... he could at random lose his suicide attack, lose his passive defensive suicide or not be able to vote. So technically a miller should at random be either not impacted or not able to vote... this would make it a 50% chance of being confirmable, such as every other player.

I really don't like how you used a miller and a bomb as an example :/

bomb is the example that came to mind for a role both active and passive.

Miller is not an example, it's the subject of the discution ^^

Last time you mentioned bomb as an example in mafia, you were in fact soft claiming bomb. And sure enough you were bomb. At least I think that was you.

only time that I recall being a bomb, was when I was Kratos... the mafia recruited SK with bomb on lynch.... I don't think I hinted at bomb then :p

For info, he talks of the second ability to the miller role question (i think)

for the 6 hour time warning I will give this reminder since there is some confusion.
No votes DO NOT become no lynch when a time limit occurs
Whoever (or no lynch) has the most votes at the end of the time limit get's lynched (or there is no lynch)
A tie results in no lynch

Warning: this is off-topic from the current discussion.

Did anyone notice anything interesting in regarding to the opening flavor?

I'd prefer to point out my suspicion sometime later on, when it may be more helpful with analyzing, but I don't want to go down with the idea either. Can someone else verify that they're seeing what I'm seeing? It has to do with one of the sentences in the flavor.
I'm pretty sure it's meant to be hidden.. if you know what I'm talking about, please say "I see it".
If nobody sees it, well, I'll probably have to give it away by the end of day.

I reread it and I saw something, don't know if it's the same thing as what you saw. What I noticed would be linked to a possible role in the game and it would make me wary of hatmoza.

Do share!

Oh what the hell, I thought I'd wait for prof to say if I'm in the right or wrong direction but I'll share:

This is the part that hit me as particuliar :

"What's the Rod of Wonk T'nodi?" Sully asks while rushing to the site almost out of breath

"It's a device said to have the power to give the bearer control over other peoples minds." Answered Nate

So I'm guessing someone or maybe the whole Mafia team might be looking for the Rod of Wonk T'nodi as part of their night actions (stealing the missing gem from a player who has it) and that if it is found the person will have the power to switch another player's target.

The reason I said I'd be wary of you is because you said earlier that you were looking for someone [post]

Signature goes here!

Didn't the rod Shatter?

I'm more suspect of why Sully does not respond... and see him as the SK if there is one...

anywho, that searching someone point is interesting trucks....

and with wonk's clarification, it's a tie between hat and radish... 2 vs 2, so currently no lynch.

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

Hmmm I could vote for hat... just to make him swallow his "I can't get lynched because I won't allow it. " and his "Fuck Time Extensions"

I just read that you explained it...oh well

To this above post, I would say, "Yes, and very much yes".

Now I also wonder what FF was thinking, because I also realized once people started chiming in with negatives, that the only people who might say yes are mafia and the person with the power. Mafia to pretend, and the person with the role to explain. This makes me think that ff is maybe 50/50 chance of mafia, and you possibly the role.

However, a lot of what I've been thinking is that Hat is this role, and I was hoping to bring it up at a later time so that he might get too confident and reveal something. This would explain his flip-flopping. I've heard of a variation of mafia where players switch during the night, but I don't want to sidetrack the game with crazy theories like these. I'd say it's a possibility, but I really wanted to hear something more conclusive, or at least have someone else have something to look out for.

And @ Heph

Yes the stone is broken, but someone might have "become the rod" so to speak.

Anyway, let's not get sidetracked by this whole thing. I wanted this to be something to look at later, and now it's not that, so there's really no use talking about it anymore.

It's also interesting that he was the one who asked for the explanation.
