Do you get more excited about good news for your preferred console or bad news for your non preferred console?

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Honestly, I like it when the news generates a lot discussions about what's morally wrong or right, which is usually bad news for a console.

The PS3 hack, lawsuits that followed was candy to my reading eyes.

I love bad news for the things I don't like. For example, I like to see my enemies fail more than I would like to see my friends succeed.

You know, even as a very passionate fanboy who is constantly wishing ill upon (those who support) MS and Sony, I was hoping to respond something like "announcements of new games from franchises I like".
Anyway, I much prefer the former. It makes everyone say one of two things: "Nintendo will do well" or "Sony/MS is DOOMED *evil laugh*". The latter, on the other hand, seems to imply a different pair of conclusions for people: "Sony/MS is DOOMED *evil laugh*" and "Videogaming is over - I bet Nintendo will fail next". Given that the first causes every comment to warm my heart and the second causes one in two comments to make me happy and the rest to make me want to contemplate murder, it's a pretty clear decision.
I suppose, though, that, if I take this literally, contemplating murder does count as "exciting".

EDIT: The poll results just made my day. Four people had commented as of this post. I was the only one who said good news is better. There were four votes for the first option.

Good news, everyone!  Because I like to imagine how jealous every one is that my console, company, game is doing well.

Even if this may have been a joke, I somehow agree.

I win NOTHING when say, X MS exclusive is cancelled or Y Sony IP is delayed, however, when I get great news for Nintendo that for unknown reasons botters others I wanna smile, especially when they make some annoying people eat crow. (Ex: MH4 for 3DS, take thar people who used to say Vita/PS3 exclusive!!!)

I like good news for my console of choice.

I do however like bad news for any console once in a while because it warrants a lot entertainment on these forums. The PSN hack fiasco was pure gold.

I like good news for my console of choice, the PStriplet.

Honestly I am not a fanboy and while I like to see the playing field evenned seeing bad things happen to game companies is never a good thing. I would be devestated if any of the major three companies failed, though I have to admit I wouldn't mind seeing Apple taken down a notch. So yah I guess bad things happening to Apple will make me happier then good things happening for Nintendo. But its because Apple is a major threat to the industry as we know it!
