Microsoft is at the Tokyo Game Show and just revealed a remake of the classic multiplayer map from Halo 2 for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition.

The large-scale 'Headlong' map from Halo 2 will be updated to a new map called 'Breakneck' but will be available to play in its original form as well.

Headlong is described by 343 Industries as follows.

HEADLONG – Section 21 once looked out onto the New Mombasa Orbital Elevator with pride and optimism. Now, with much of the city eviscerated by the Covenant’s brutal assault, the skyline remains only a shattered ghost of what it once was. Headlong provides a large, skyscraper-hemmed construction site with numerous vantage points for clever snipers as well as a large central basin for excellent vehicle combat. (8 - 16 players)
343 Industries is also showing the remastered version of The Pillar of Autumn level from the single-player campaign at the Tokyo Game Show. This is the classic opening level to the game with all new graphics but still running the same engine underneath.
