No, just an extra free DLC and extra stuff on PSN Home.

I still find this whole debate to be the most asinine thing ever. Games that look slightly better on PS3 will not sell PS3s, which Microsoft should know full well, because games looking slightly better on Xbox (1) didn't do shit to sell Xboxes. Halo sold Xboxes (more specifically Halo 2)

This squabbling over small-potatoes downloadable games seems like a waste of resources for both players...

actually it was "FREE DLC".

unfortunately, most if not all bonus content on ps3 has to be downloaded, instead of it being on the spacious bluray disk.

which im assuming may have something to do with MS policy.

OT: huh?

I think if thats the business approach that MS wants to take then its fine for them. They seem to be taking it on a case by case basis. I couldn't see them not releasing a blockbuster game just because their competitors got extra content that they didnt. I would expect to only see this maybe on lesser game titles, and even then I think this is more of a discouragement to developers who may be thinking of doing that. Its the developers that have to take the risk of possibly not getting their title published for the X360. I just think this scenario of MS not releasing a game because of this is unlikely IMO.

yeah last time I checked the real issue is PS3 user don't buy games..... I mean every game that look better on PS3 didn't sell better in ratio so I don't think he is right.... and there is very few games that had exclusive DL that would have driven sales otherwise.... it is simple XB owners tend to buy more games that's it.... even if it was all out open.... that fact wouldn't change..... and even if it did this far in the gen it wouldn't matter that much beside making smaller profit but it wouldn't tank MS..... now at this point it's all about next gen and both side even if they plan to release later than 2014 are already well advance in R&D on that front I'm sure

That analyst doesn't know what he's talking about. There's nothing in Microsoft's release policy about multiplatform games looking better on other systems, the ones that appear on PC always do, it's about having additional content not in the Xbox 360 version of the game.

Actually come to think of it there's no quote or anything from Microsoft indicating they're concerned about multiplatform games looking better on PS3 (the majority don't) so this is just another deceptive headline to get hits.

The level of journalism standards for many gaming websites really is pretty pathetic.

The title is pretty clear in that the analyst said it, not MicroSoft.

or maybe, there are just more 360s out there?? Crazy huh???

Again... when first party Sony games make use of the Blue Ray in a way not possible on 360 then we can talk. When games look way better than anything possible on 360 or they put so much extra content on the disk or games are so huge that... well you get the point. Why doesn't Sony do it? Because it cost a lot and they don't sell anyway.

This new Sony PR guy is on a mission I see.

Although I wouldn't doubt MS is at least slightly concerned about games looking better on the PS3.

These are the last years MS will be able to do it. Not for Sony, but for Android, Google's market gives devs much more freedom than any other competitor, it doesn't even hold the exclusive for Android apps. Once gaming on Android grows, exclusive markets for other platforms will surely survive, but they'll have to be a lot nicer to third party devs.
