Maybe you should try the ME series if you haven't done them on PC but playing the first game before the second really adds to the experience and your attachment to characters.
I also recomment Bayonetta and the Left for Dead series.

Ok it looks like I'm always the one to recommend Limbo and Shadow Complex. I know Limbo is on PS3 now so maybe you'll wanna get that one there, I guess that version offers more content. I was without internet for the past week and I went back and played both of those games, so awesome.
Otherwise have fun with Reach. I take that game for granted because I don't think about it a whole lot but every time I end up playing it, I'm always thinking to myself of how awesome it is. I recommend playing a few games of matchmaking and then utilizing the theater feature. It can be pretty entertaining flying around watching all the action.
Gears is also a must, campaign co-op is the shit as well as Horde......dirty dirty Horde.
I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.
Congratulations. I hope you enjoy your new XBox 360. Check out the XBox 360/Microsoft section on this site for news, reviews and feedback from XBox 360 gamers. XBox Live, regarded as being more secure and up to date in regards to content online. Both XBox 360 and PS3 are more suited for the gamer not willing to shell out the money for a top end gaming PC.

I personally didn't bring any consoles to college, but the people next door brought a 360, and o my god does it get hectic during the day when no one is out. |
hahaha i hope it doesn't get too out of control--we'll see what happens!

Don't worry!
1. I've played and beaten Halo: CE, 2, and 3, so I'm not new to the series.
2. I just purchasedd the Gears of War triple pack yesterday!

The game takes place in post-apocalyptic Russia, and follows a 20 year old male survivor named Artyom (russian: Артём). When the game begins, Artyom learns from an elite soldier, or Ranger, named Hunter that a group of mysterious creatures referred to as the Dark Ones are threatening his station in the Metro. Hunter gives Artyom a Ranger token and tells him if he does not come back, he must go to Polis to see if they will help his station. Artyom must travel through territory occupied by Soviets and Nazis, and infested with mutants. Once in Polis, he meets with a Ranger named Miller, who agrees to help him. Miller knows of a missile silo known as D6 that has the firepower necessary to destroy the Dark Ones. Artyom, Miller, and several other Rangers reactivate the command center for the missiles, and Artyom installs a laser guidance system on a nearby building. After the laser system is installed, Artyom experiences a vivid hallucination induced by the Dark Ones. After the hallucination, two endings are possible, depending on choices the player makes throughout the game. In the normal/bad ending, Artyom allows the missiles to fire, destroying the Dark Ones. The alternate/good ending gives Artyom the choice to destroy the laser guidance device, citing a last-minute realization that the Dark Ones were actually attempting to make peaceful contact through the hallucinations.
