i dont understand why America dislike the ps3 so much. some people can be really dumb.

Sales increased 40% during the 2nd week of a $50 price cut and you consider that dislike (hate) and people that did not buy one are dumb (stupid; and no, the edit didn't make it any less insulting/banworthy).

Just speaking frankly, talk like this doesn't really improve this community and honestly makes genuine PS/Sony fans look bad.  Is it too much to ask to be better?

OT:  Well after the heavy vacation period known as July (and yes, I was one of those people), looks like gamers are returning a bit.  Software should heat up starting next month too as big titles start to be released.  There's hope for the industry yet!

I agree... I'm a PS fan but that coment is beyond 'dumb'.

it was a bad comment but not ban worthy as the poster did not attack anybody on the site.

BTW PS Move is selling half as much as Kinect in the Americas, I'm surprised. I guess it's the price-cut. Both are doing bad numbers though.

well i guess PS3 is done in the U.S. for this gen, or the price drop needs more advertising. lets hope Sony can improve in the EMEAA's.

Wii, DS, and 3DS will sell well this holiday season while 3DS will have the world on lock, Vita may take Japan with 3DS and PS3 a close 3rd and 4th.

Deus Ex looks great and likely to sell another 200-300 or more with the EMEAA's totals with the PS3 version leading as they are so close in sales in the America's, but we will see as Japan and emeaa's totals come in.

360 blops still smashing the Americas, as Wii still manages to get more ip then the comp in the top 10. with those sales in total being only 10k less then MS version of Deus Ex.

i've never done a detail'd version post o sells before and i'll likely never do it again.

You're kidding right? It's far from done. it hasn't even hit $199 yet. That's when the sales will really pick up.

The Xbox 360 is already at $199.

good point, but it seem it wouldn't do any good in the end.

i think i know what sony is doing

sony wont advertise the ps3's $249 price until Resistance 3 hit's

at the end of an epic Kevin Butler resistance 3 commercial ---> "PS3 Now $249.99"

it make's more sense because their is a price drop AND their is a brand new exclusive Title to pick up with the ps3

if ps3 sale's rise over 360's in America due to this then i dont think it will last that long anyways because Gears 3 is right around the corner from Resistance

I was agreeing about him making PS fans look bad. Although TBH I've seen bans before for insulting countries/groups of people.

You should do it more often, I quite liked your detailed analysis.

i try as best i can. my memory is some wht shot after the 2 seizures i had last yr so i try to stay active mentaly to work my brain.

i love details and well when info comes my way i get into it as much as possible. wafia wars arguments are killing me. its just to much to handle right now. not understanding that of which i do best puts me at a loss but never down.

360 is not finished yet either. There is still room for a price cut, and the Wii U is out on the spring so they can gain some units they lost to the Wii in the US. Depending on how far MS pushes back the 720/next xbox they could even charge ahead of the Wii in the long (small chance, but possible).

Anyways its balances out when it comes to the PS3 losing in the US. Look at how poorly the 360 sold in Japan and look how in EMEAA it's losing week by week. If Microsoft doesn't concentrate in Europe then they have to sell insanely well in the US to keep pace.

Though it is a shame that Sony is in second in the US, I think a $100 price drop would have a much larger impact and It's a shame Sony couldn't afford that.

It's just that simple.

By the time PS3 gets to $199.99, i think it may be too late in the gen, with pressure from a next gen Wii and possible x box 720 consumers will be moving on to newer and better systems with more features. Now that is my opinion if we have to wait another 2 years for a price cut. If Sony does another 50 dollar cut next year that should keep PS3 relevant in 2012/13 fiscal year.

Sad when the DS outsells the PSP with a successor alongside it. Even worse when it's so close to Wii numbers despite price cut. But no surprise as Nintendo doesn't bother to advertise.
