I'm 21, and I my first system was the NES. The most fun I've ever had was with Smash Bros. Melee on the Gamecube. The SNES and its RPGs are a close second though.

I'm 18 and I'd say the N64 is tied with the Wii60 (and DS). The N64 had the best multiplayer games of all time in my opinion, (Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, the first 3 Mario Parties, Wrestlemania 2000, NWO Revenge, Mario Kart 64) in addition to all the classic single-player games that don't need mentioning. Also, I loved Gauntlet Legends :D
The 360 really has some of the best games of all time as well, with Bioshock and several others. Multiplayer is amazing.
The Wii speaks for itself
In terms of consoles, it has to be the Sega Mega Drive (or Sega Genesis for you Americans) since it was the console I played on in my younger years, at a close friend's place. I also had some fun with the PS1 (again, not mine), but very little in comparison to the Mega Drive.
But on the whole, I played much more on the PC. I was always more of a PC gamer until I got seduced by the Wii. I had some fun with emulators though, playing some NES, SNES and one Nintendo 64 game (Mario 64).

Uh oh NJ5. You are going to lose your bet with Just_Ben o_O. Man, I didn't see that coming. That one has to hurt.

Most fun I have had playing game were Mega Man X and Super Mario World 2 on SNES... Then Phoenix Wright on DS...

I'm 20 and the most fun I had with a system was the N64. Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64 were the best games on that system. I couldn't stop playing those games, but even though the N64 didn't sell well. It still was a contender with the best first-party games for that generation.

Yep, it seems I (along with others who entered the same bet) underestimated what I now interpret as the effect of first christmas+price drop for the PS3 in Europe! NA increases for the 360 were also surprisingly low for the last week before Christmas, but that didn't affect things much.
At least we learned something ;)

Despite the fun I've had with my DS, the N64 can't be beaten in terms of pure joy in my house. Reason: Mario Kart 64 battle mode with about 8 people gathered around the system. Same for Goldeneye. OOT also was special with even my sisters joining to get through the entire game.
SNES is a close 2nd though

Colecovision and Atari 2600 captured my fun and imagination the most... The playing of "real" arcade games at home was a new conept when they came out and it showed that sometime in the future the home would be the center of entertainment as it was long ago. I thought Donkey Kong on Colecovision in particular was amazing - Even made a string art for my dad to thank him for buying it. (I still own a Colecovision today and periodically rev it up to play on my big screen... It looks "very blocky" but keeps reminding me where we came from and that we are still only near the beginning of an interactive entertainment revolution). Wii, 360, and PS3 are only stepping stones in this revolution.
Imagine eventually we will have one box that is the center of digital interactive entertainment that stimulates your mind, adds value to social gatherings, helps you keep fit, and allows you to escape into a world that can only be imagined. Also, the merging of music, printed, movie, and interactive entertainment into a single model that combines the best of them all and changes the way we get entertained forever. We are still not there with any of the consoles yet... Hold on, it will get better!
