I give you two characters with their stats, strengths, and weaknesses. you determine who would win in a fight pitted against eachother based on stats and skills, not based on which character you prefer more.

This Week another Marvel vs DC character:

Venom VS Bane!

 VS

Venom (Marvel Comics)

Bane (DC Comics)

Stats:

Height: 6'3

Weight: 280 pounds

Bio:

The symbiote suit that is now a part of Eddie Brock was once

a part of Spider-Man. It came from the battleworld. It was acquired

by Spider-Man as a type of new suit. Spider-Man became very

attached to it as it seemed to compliment his powers. After taking

the symbiote suit to Reed Richards he found that it was in fact an

organic life that acted as a parasite. They removed the suit.

Eventually the suit found its way to Daily Globe Writer/Criminal/

Body builder, Eddie Brock. It is often times suggested that the suit

feeds on the wearers emotions. Eddie Brock was a very troubled and

emotional man. Eddie Brock while working at the Daily Globe buries himself in himself in his work.

He uncoveres a murderer known as the Sin-Eater. He publishes a story about

who he believes to be the Sin-Eater, but Spider-Man finds the real Sin-Eater

and catches him. It then revealed Brock had been interveiwing a compulsive

confessor. Brock gets fired and then blames Spider-Man. he then is diagnosed

with cancer and begins rigorous workouts building his strength and athleticism

to near peak human levels. His wife then leaves him. His life is a wreck. The

Symbiote suit then bonds with him and thus giving him the powers of

Spider-Man, but with more strength, and the powers of the suit. He then names

himself Venom, because he says he is the poison to Spider-Man. He then

goes crazy trying to kill Spider-Man.

Stats:

Height: 6'8"

Weight: 350 pounds

Bio: Bane spends his childhood in a hellish prison in South American

Island nation of Santa Prisca. He is chosen for an experiment

involving the drug called, venom which bestows on him super

human strength along with other enhancements. While in prison

he also studies many books in addition to gaining great knowledge

he also has a photogenic memory and incredible intellect. Bane

committed a number of murders while in prison as he continued

his troubled life in the prison before the venom experiements.

Bane becomes the "king" of the prison and no one dares to

challenge the big ruthless man. The The prison controllers take

and place him in the experimentation that had killed all other

people they had tried it on. Bane almost dies, but ends up

surviving. He notices he has much increase in strength as well as

other abilities. Bane is told he needs to inject himself every 12

hours or else he will have severe side effect. He later escapes

prison. He finds out about Gotham city and Batman, the man

who strikes fear in his foes. He desires to take out Batman as

he is convicned that the dark bat is who haunted his nightmares

as a child. In one occasion he released many villains from

the Arkham asylum which Batmanthen had to go and round

them up.Batman in a weakened statereturned to his cave

where Bane was waiting for him. Bane had a duel with Batman

where he eventually beat him and broke Batman's back. This

is why he is known as the man who broke the bat.

Powers/Abilities:

Super Human Strength:

There have been some variances in what Venom can lift.

It has been most accepted that he can lift around 11 tons. This

also depends on who is wearing the symbiote suit. the traditional

individual is known as Eddie Brock. One of the more recent individuals

is Mac Gargan who was able to lift about 15 tons even before he

wore the suit. While wearing the suit he is capable of lifting up to

60 tons. For traditional purposes we will go with 11 tons.

Shapeshifting:

Venom possesses the ability to shape shift into other forms such as

mimic any human, also form spikes, and size expansion. Can also

allow for items to be carried within the suit without changing

the wearers weight or appearance. He can also become camouflaged

adapting his appearance to blend into his environment.

Telepathic Influence:

Venom on different occasions has demonstrated the ability to place

certain thoughts into one or multiple individuals thought processes.

He is capable of influencing individuals through his ability, but not

necessarily able to take control.

Superhuman Speed/Agility/Reflexes:

Venom possesses the abilities of Spider-Man. He can move, run,

and dodge at super human speeds that are somewhat more than

peak human ability.

Symbiote Sense:

This is very similar to Spider-Man's ability of "Spider Sense" which

can detect something seconds before it even happens. This is not

however as fast as Spider-Man's but none the less it gives him

a huge advantage in battle.

Resistance to Injury.Super Healing/Durability:

Venom is capable of taking large amounts of force without any

injury. He resists injuries from high falls, and even bludgeon weapons

being swung into him with substantial force. When Venom does

become injured through trauma the Symbiote suit is able to heal

him much faster and purge his body of diseases much faster than

any human. Venom is even able to survive in hostile environments

by filtering the air.

Superhuman Stamina/Endurance:

Venom possesses a vast ability to continually fight for long periods

of time with no tiring. He will eventually however become tired

if he fights for a very long time and is getting beat around.

Symbiote Webbing/Tentacles:

Venom possesses the ability to shoot extremely durable webbing

composed of the suit material which is said to be significantly

stronger than the webbing that Spider-Man uses. Its strength is

equal to 125 pounds per square millimeter. Venom is also able

to protrude tentacles from his suit that can grab, and entangle an

enemy with intense force and durability which can even cause

spider-man to be immobile.

Weaknesses:

Venom is susceptible to very high pitched sonic noises as well as fire.

Both of these will harm Venom. He also has a temper and can

at times be a weakness if he allows his temper to overshadow

his wits in a battle.

Powers/Abilities:

Super Human Strength:

Without venom in his system Bane is an already very strong human

being. He is capable of lifting roughly 800 to 1000 pounds.

but is capable of lifting up to 3 tons or maybe more if he

chooses to lose control by injecting huge amounts of venom.

Enhanced Speed/Reflexes:

Bane when using the venom can react and run slightly faster than the

peak human ability.

Superhuman Endurance/Stamina/Durabilty:

Bane's stamina as well as density of muscle tissue and bone increase

dramatically when using the venom. When using the venom in large

quantities he is capable of resisting penetration from small fire arms,

falls from high levels.and even some resistance to extreme

heat and cold.

Superhuman Healing:

When Bane becomes injured he will inject a certain amount of venom

to help him heal from varying degrees of injuries. If he has excessive

injuries or extensive poisoning he will need to inject a large amount of

venom which temporarily causes him to go insane. The rate of

regeneration, however is not instantaneous, but the healing process

is quickly visible when the venom is administered. While its evident he can

heal more quickly from flesh wounds, broken bones, and blood loss it is

not evident and actually unlikely that he could regrow lost limbs.

Genius Level Intellect:

It is widely known that Bane actually possesses a genius level intellect.

He has been recognized as one of Batman's most intelligent foes.

He possesses a photographic memory, and has learned many various

languages which he can speak fluently. He is also an expert at strategy,

and gives Batman a challenge many times in planning.

Expert Hand to Hand Combatant:

Bane has mastered many forms of martial arts, and there are very few

in the DC universe that are better than him, which of course includes

Batman. This hand to hand combat experience combined with his super

human level of strength will provide a challenge to any human and also

to many meta humans.

Weaknesses:

It has been at some points in the past that Bane has become prone to drug

dependence. Sometimes he would have to have venom injections

regularly or he would have withdrawals. this has been Bane's main weakness.

Bane can also many times have an ego problem.

My Synopsis:

Personally I think this is a very interesting battle. Both are brute type men with a temper, and anger issues. Both are very cunning and good fighters, however the edge in intelligence and fighting skills goes to Bane. Both are very strong and can throw humans as well as some super heroes around like a rag doll. However, Venom has the edge as he is stronger enabling him to lift more and have more powerful blows. Bane may be able to potentially get his strength close to what Venom's is, however if he does then he loses his wits and becomes a ravaging insane brute, therefore losing his cunning and combat techniques. While Venom is not as intelligent as Bane, he still has some good wits and is cunning, but of course Bane could potentially outsmart him in a battle. This fight could go either way, but in all honesty I see too many factors going against Bane in this fight. While Bane is much better trained in combat over Venom, Venom still possesses the "Symbiote-Sense" like "Spider-Sense" that aids him largely in fighting being able to sense what his opponent is going to do before he does it. Also Venom can blend in to his surroundings making it easier to get the jump on Bane. Not only that but Venom has immensely durable webbing as well as spikes that he can protrude from the suit to stab his foes. The question is would Bane be durable enough to withstand those spikes with the amount of force that Venom could apply? While Bane can withstand alot I do not think he could withstand the force Venom can put behind those spikes. Another question is Bane strong enough to break through Venom's strong webbing? The webbing is stronger than Spider-Man's. In this case I don't think he could break out of it, and then he would be a sitting duck for Venom.

I think this battle is won by two ways. Either Bane would be able to use his intelligence and cunningness enough to quickly find the weakness of Venom, or Venoms unique powers and strength will quickly outweigh what Bane can do and would defeat him. I dont see a way Bane can beat Venom with just his brute force and combat technique. If somehow Bane finds a way to expose Venom's weakness of high pitched sonic sound he would still have to worry about Venom's ability to camouflage and then Web him in surprise. If Venom gets Bane in his webbing I think Bane is done for.

My Verdict:

Surprise Encounter: Venom wins Hands Down, but a decent fight for a short while.

Time to Plan: Bane by a bit. If Bane has time to plan he would likely be able to trap Venom in some capacity.

Overall Winner: Venom. IMO Venom just has too many unique powers that Bane would have a tough time dealing with. high intellect or not.

So, whats your opinion? Let us know below!

Hopefully Bane uses his superior intellect to realize that he shouldn't try fighting Venom. Venom would peel Bane's skin like a banana. The only venom Bane should mess with is the Venom he used to fuel his super-strength.

Should've done Venom vs Captain America (or Daredevil). Yeah, Cap would have won but those two are more evenly matched. How about Deathstroke vs. Task Master or something?

Venom VS Captain America, or Daredevil? Im not so sure that would be a better matchup, but I can see some of the reasons why it could be. Are you saying this because the vibranium metal in Cap's shield would emit noises to irritate Venom? I do however think Cap would have problems dealing with Venom if he lost his shield. So Im not real sure about this one, although Im sure Cap is tactically capable and smart enough to figure out how to beat Venom as he usually does with his foes. I could see some things about Daredevil that would be able to counter Venom since he can sense sound very well Venom would have a hard time trying to camouflage. Still I would think Venom's webbing and spikes/tenticles would cause issues for a lot of super heroes unless they were really strong and could rip through the webbing and if spikes wouldnt be able to penetrate their skin.

Yes, Deathstroke VS Taskmaster would be a great fight.

Venom edge Bane on power but Venom is more of a meathead compare to Bane so Brain>Dumber Sport Jock

haha. :) ok yeah Bane does make more sense than Venom VS those 2. Venom could shred up a lot of super heroes that don't have really tough skin.
