Let's say Sony announces Uncharted 4 as a cross platform game. It runs on PSV and PS3. Awesome idea, right? Well, suppose you have an awesome HDTV setup at home--maybe even an LED or a 3D HDTV. Would you really want to play level 1-3 on your glorious home setup with surround sound, experience something awesome in level 4 on your little portable screen, and then come back to level 5 on your awesome home setup?
There's no right or wrong answer--just something to consider.

i heard a couple of bad things about it, but to me cross platform keeps a game alive, instead of have a player count of 10 with cross platefrom there can be more players. catch my drift

Oh, you meant cross platform like PS3 players playing with Xbox or PC players!! Fuck that. No filthy PC/360 players should be allowed to play with us awesome 360 owners. In fact, I'm not totally opposed to the idea of Xbox/PC players having their own schools and drinking from seperate water fountains.

Don't listen to that D21lewis character. He can't even masturbate without breaking nearly bone in his body, so he comes on VGC to rid his sexual frustration by trolling the PS3. That's why he has no friends.
OT: I suppose Cross platforming is pretty good. There are definitely no factors that can hamper my experience, so why not? As long as it's optional. I don't wanna be forced to be schooled by the superior PC players with their mouses and keyboards.

You have a point but it all depends. I mean as a gamer I can tell you if I am addicted to the game at that point in time with some nice (I mean $200+ nice) headphones on the train ride enjoying it, I will not care much about where I play. Especially another thing to take into consideration in this case is that I tend to replay games because of trophies and/or unlockables. Also if the PSV's 3G is any good, I could see myself focusing on the multiplayer aspect when on the go. I guess it all depends on the game and the implementation.
Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)
I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/ hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

they will once
Windows 8 comes out as it has xbox live built in
the problem with xbox is that MS want's to take money out of your pocket and if two game were to be played online if PC and as we know 360 online isn't free so people will go to PC
that will not happen with Windows 8
