why would there be uproar? pretty much everyone knows by now that (in this case) mario, and bioshock are gonna win the majority of GOTY's

While I definitely agree with them I must say that all of their picks were worthy contenders. Truly a great year for gaming. And 2008 should be very good too.

I'm surprised how many people in the comment section were complaining about Halo 3 not being the pick. Is Halo 3 seriously in contention for any GOTY award? As far as I'm aware it's either CoD4 or Bioshock for the 360 (and rightly I would agree). Also cool to see in the video that they at least remembered Metroid Prime 3 exists.

Stupid double post, so I'll just clarify that I don't think MP3 should have won any GOTY (not with Mario Galaxy out) just that it should at least me mentioned as a candidate.

I think they ought to have at least nominated a PS3 game. I mean, it may be somewhat lacking in the library, but it would have been good to showcase what title(s) GT thought was best on PS3.

I also notice that all nominees are exclusive titles. Curious.

Gametrailers is going freaking crazy, CRAZY!!!

 

X360 game of the year is: Halo 3... WTF?

PS3 game of the year is: CoD4... (I can understand that but i'd have picked Uncharted cuzz it's an AAA PS3 exclusive)

Wii game of the year is: Super Mario Galaxy (Really?... Who would have though that, sjeesh... ).

Biggest Surprise: Ohh no, not Halo 3 XD...                    WTF??? Why on Earth Bungie leaving Microsoft and Halo3?  Bungie is still going Xbox only so WTF???

Biggest failure: Lair... Yey...

Coowlest trailer: DMC... okey! I can live with that, as long as it ain't Halo ...

Biggest news: NOOO, it involves Halo 3... WTF is Wrong with this site????
