The murdered russian spy .. no just kidding.

Peter, for all his faults.

Holy crap, he does look a lot like... what was that guy's name? Litvanenko? The one killed with Polonium?

I will also vote for Molyneux

Poor Reggie, though. Post Op Rainfall and all, he's going to get crushed, though Meier would be legitimate competition for him in any case

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Phil, and why is Reggie's picture zoomed in like that?

Peter Molyneux

if Peter Molyneux delivered more on his unfulfilled promises then he would have had my vote but for me its

Phil Harrison

the Reggie comment was definitely  funny.

Molyneux.

For creating a new genre in 1989 (god game) with Populous - a game which I found extremely fascinating when I played it in '91 or '92. I started it 3 or 4 times but was never able to finish it. I never really understood the controls.

For Bullfrog Productions' Syndicate, Magic Carpet, Dungeon Keeper, which are outstanding games.
Syndicate and Dungeon Keeper are two of the best games of the 90s and - now that it's available on gog.com - I plan to play Dungeon Keeper again as soon as my win laptop works again. It's one of the few games I could play forever.

I still like him despite his ego and his strange obsession with Fable, a franchise with decent games which pale in comparison to Bullfrog's best games.

no time like the present to finish populous if you still have it?

I don't have it anymore, but we're talking about a game originally released in 1989 on floppy disc here anyway.
I had the 3.5 disc release shown at the bottom of this page: http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/populous/cover-art

If I ever want to try to finish it, I will buy the DS port from 2008.

despite my extreem disgust for the man and all of his empty promises ... peter is the larger industry icon.
