With the amount of promotion they've done for 3d I have been really disappointed with their 3d offerings so far. Killzone 3 was a mess in 3d, but it looks like they finally did it with Uncharted 3. I actually thought the 3d was terrible on day one. It dropped the resolution really low and really made the game look like crap in 3d, I don't know what they did from then till now but it worked. Uncharted is the second best 3d game I've seen thus far next to avatar the game.

Hope insomniac is taking pointers from naughty dog on how to do 3d right for resistance 3.

Just curious...have you seen any 3D games on PC? And maybe compare that to uncharted 3?

The difference between console 3D and something like Trine or Metro 2033 on the PC is like PS2 vs PS3 in graphics.

Uncharted is definitely the best 3d game I've seen. I thought killzone did 3d well. I mean it did drop the graphics quite a bit, but It is definitely better than black ops 3d. The graphics are horrendous when 3d is on in black ops.

Hopefully this is a giant step for ps3 exclusives having great 3d integration. Other studios should definitely call up naughty dog when they are going to put 3d in a game.

They actually should call up Nvidia or Tridef and ask for their 3D driver to be applied to consoles games. But I think that is too expensive for them...

3D is kind of lame in my opinion so it doesn't really bother me, honestly I hate it when movies are in 3D there more expensive and they look worse it drives me crazy!

Isnt that a pretty piss poor comparison.  The top graphics on PC without 3D make PS3 and 360 games look like PS2 games.  So its a little unfair. You are comparing 2 things where one has a limit and the other really doesnt

I listed Trine as an example as its on PS3 and it looks pretty much the same on PC and PS3. Yet it has amazingly stunning 3D effects that nothing even comes close to of the console 3D games I've played. ( Black ops(360), Crysis 2 (360), Avatar and Motostorm). Out of the 3D games on consoles, Avatar still probably stands out as the best one.

I agree that the pixelization ruins the 3D effect on consoles. So graphics do play a role... however very few console games allow you to change the depth levels. I need my 3d depth to be cranked up as high as possible. I hardly see 3D effects on console games...just a horrible resolution loss 2D game with a slightly 3Dish background.

You have a 3DTV so I suggest to find a way to watch youtube 3D and to find some good PC made 3D videos for games. Hell even PS2 and gamecube wii emulators look amazing in 3D on the PC.
