Pirate vs. Knight

Their decision: Pirate
My decision (1v1): Knight (disagree)
My decision (war): Knight

This might sound controversial because the pirate has guns, but hear me out first. This is all down to the crossbow. The only long range weapon of the pirate is the flintlock pistol, which cannot penetrate armor and had suck ass aim. The blunderbuss and grenado are both short range. All the knight has to do here is sit beyond the pirate's effective range and blast it with crossbow bolts. Because the pirate has no armor, one shot is enough. The crossbow is also deadly accurate and he can literally just sit there and shoot because of all that armor on his body without fear of the flintlock. Sure it'll knock him down, maybe cause some damage, but it can't kill him. It's all about the crossbow for me.

You might argue that the pirate can just simply hide and wait for the knight to waste ammo or just charge. However, you have to remember that the pirate has even less ammo. His blunderbuss carries only one shot, and it's unreliable. The pistols carry only one shot, and they're unreliable too. The grenado presents the only real danger, but the knight can easily shoot him down before he has a chance to throw it. It is the knight who can easily sit around because his weapon commands greater range and reliability. I got the knight on this hands down.

more knight takers :)

The pirate has guns but those weapons are short ranged, unreliable, slow and not very accurate. He has one shot to kill the knight. If he fails that one he's dead.
In war the knights would completely obliberate the pirates.

i hate how they totally discounted how unreliable the blunderbuss was. it's like they ignored the fact that a lot of the time, it doesn't even fire.
