When I purchased the PS3 I was of course looking to upcoming games, however I wanted to see the franchises that brought me into gaming again. The original Crash series is available so why not the original Spyro series? They could give you a code with Resistance 3 or Overstrike to get the games. Basically I want nostalgia-fest again.

well, because the only 2 first of spiro is from insoniac, after that the other are from the Activision evil wing of Doom.
