Forums - Gaming - Wii Has The Best Exclusives

If this was in Nintendo discussion I'd leave it alone, but since its in the general gaming discussion its fair game.

No way in hell Nintendo has the best exclusives. They're all very good games that were listed but even the greatest of Sony haters would have to admit PS3 has a sick lineup of exclusives. And not to mention new IP's, something the Wii has very few and far between of.

PS3 has:

- Uncharted 1 and 2
- Resistance 1 and 2
- MGS4
- God of War III
- LBP 1 and 2
- Modnation Racers (not as good as Mario Kart, but still a good game)
- Killzone 2 and 3
- Ratchet and Clank games
- Heavy Rain
- Valkyrie Chronicles
- InFamous 1 and 2
- Warhawk
- Gran Turismo 5

I could keep going but I'll stop there. And I didn't even mention good PSN games like Wipeout HD, Flower, Pixeljunk, and the others.

And how about future titles? Resistance 3, Uncharted 3, The Last Guardian, Metal Gear HD Collection, Twisted Metal, ICO/SOTC collection, Agent, New Ratchet and Clank game, and more.

And let's be honest, the only good title on the horizon for the Wii is Skyward Sword, which will probably end up doing the same thing as Twilight Princess i.e. being launched on the Wii and a launch title for Wii U.

Sorry, but no matter how big of a Nintendo fan you are, its pretty tough to argue the Wii has the best exclusives.

personally i think this article is garbage as i could just as easily list top rated xbox 360 or ps3 exclusives and claim they have better exclusives, what about you guys

Here are some nice Wii titles that arguably makes it having the best exclusives:

But so a few are not exclusives, but they are the better versions.

lol but to be honest though i wouldn't be surprised if more third party wii games like the conduit are ported to the ps3 with extra content i mean its already happening with no more heroes and house of the dead overkill ( even has 3d visuals on ps3 apparently ) so i only see the third party exclusive line up for wii dwindling over time

Sony is only taking the good Wii games, so no Conduit for PS3. that list is a complete joke by the way, some r not exclusive n no they r not "better" versions, thats subjevtive. n having that crappy Castlevania is nothing to be proud of, worst in the series, ths XBL game is better

Sure, you could claim that the 360 and PS3 have better exclusives, but you would be wrong. Other than pure subjectivity you would have nothing to back it up.

Nintendo only knows how to look for a different way that Mario can jump over another turtle to defeat it. Nintendo cannot enter with games targetted to different markets that exclude little kids, they don't dare to do it, they know they can't succeed, as it happened with Eternal Darkness.

While 360s and Sony's exclusive make serious attempts to push videogames as ways of art, Nintendo has nothing. They can't make a decent story with their frachises, they can't make their characters say meaningful things that won't sound lame. And if you are of the ones that think that videos get in the way of gameplay, take for example masterpieces like Bioshock and Fallout which have the most intelligent merge of gameplay and story without any of them getting in the way of the other.

There are games in Xbox360 that I would like to have in my PS3, but there is nothing in the Nintendo console that I would be interested in. My mother found a DSi with Mario in it and, apart from playing some parts that she cannot get across, I don't touch that thing for anything.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

yeah i think he was being sarcastic

Third Party? No way. this isn't even subjective.

First Party? IMO, yes. But it's not a fact.
It's also NOT a fact that HD consoles have better first party exclusives, so people saying that are as bad of the writer of the article.

Well, that's just complete nonsense.

Look at it this way:

The Wii has its exclusives and no major third party multiplatform games. Good third party exclusives are rare too.

Meanwhile, both the 360 and PS3 have their individual set of exclusives as well as all major third party multiplatform games and a few good third party exclusives each.

Lifetime sales show the Wii in front of the 360 and the PS3 with a significant lead. The 360 maintained a small lead over the PS3 for four and a half years now.

Now for the interesting part:

The above facts mean that both HD consoles have a bigger selection of good games than the Wii has, but despite this disadvantage Nintendo's console still found itself on top this generation. The only reasonable explanation is that the Wii's exclusives made such a significant difference that they completely offset the disadvantage of missing out on all major third party multiplatform games. Ergo, the Wii does indeed have the best exclusives, because if it didn't, then the Wii wouldn't have sold more than the 360 and PS3.

Good and popular are not mutually exclusive, as the film industry will certainly tell you. As a measurement of 'good' exclusive with the above critera, almost all the game mention in the OP has to be removed and in their placed, games like Wii Fit etc added.

Either you are on your usual Rol sarcastic self or I don't know what to say. Wii went after the Blue Ocean at a very affordable price whereas PS3/360 went for their usual core with powerful graphixxxx and high price point (especially PS3). Sorry but not gonna buy it this time, when the best sellers include Wii Sports and Just Dance. Every auntie, grandma, I know owns this.

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

And the thread goes on with "my opinion is a fact"...

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

I think both my opinion and the media opinion are pointless (metascore means nothing). The only thing that has true value are sales numbers. The Wii has not only the best hardware sales, but the best software sales sales as well. And since software are the main factor of hardware sales the Wii has the best library of games (not only exclusives btw) of this gen according to the market, just like the PS2 had last gen.

But then I would have to find another reason why I own my wii!

The dust HAS to go somewhere.

I'm saying that but I'm currently playing Twilight Princess and it's my PS3 who's collecting dust.
