I will say Heavy Rain by a slim margin mainly due to replayability, as both stories were up there.
On a side note I'll go with Resistance 2 over Reach mainly because I didn't like almost everyone in Noble team dying within an hour or 2 of the SP, it just felt plain STUPID. It reminded me too much of the first Mission Impossible Movie. Gameplaywise they were close, but the story and the ending of Resistance 2 took the cake and kinda got me slightly emotional because **********************Spoiler Alert*******************************************************************











Having Cappelli having no choice but to kill Hale did kinda break my heart, after everything Hale did for humanity and sacrificing the only salvation he could have had. Yet in the end humanity is at the brink of extinction.

Heavy Rain, because it is good, and I never played Alan Wake.

I liked them pretty equally, I thought Alan Wake had a better plot, but Heavy Rain had a much better execution of it's own plot. The biggest divider is that Heavy Rain kept on moving, it never repeated itself and it just kept throwing you into those thoughtful or tense situations, Alan Wake was far to repetitive and running around a forest (that looks all the same) and shooting the same enemies over and over again takes away from it's atmosphere and pacing. I found Heavy Rain to be a scarier game.

I vote for Heavy Rain, though I'm sure if an improved Alan Wake 2 came out then my vote would easily go towards the sequel.

Is it so crazy that a game that was better reviewed, sold much more and won many more awards is liked by more people? Oh the shock and horror. 

Alan Wake had issues, it was hyped to high heaven and for many people it didn't meet those expectations, get over it.

LOL at the bolded. Did you miss the guy on the last page who admitted he hadn't played Alan Wake at all, but voted for Heavy Rain anyway? Get off your high horse and stop acting like these polls are the pinnacle of objectivity when anybody can walk in here and vote whether they played either game or not.

My point is that it doesn't matter, people have opinions, get the fuck over it. Trying to make people prove they aren't biased is ridiculous, it's a forum for discussion, people shouldn't have to prove jack shit unless it's by using a good argument.
