I think the Online Gaming forum is kind of specifically for online gaming clans and trophy collections and that sort of thing. Unless I'm wrong, this belongs more in the "PC Discussion" forum.
But to answer your question, it's a very good game that I've had lots of fun with. It's very different from StarCraft (you only control one guy, instead of managing a small army). I haven't played WoW, but it's also pretty different from that.
It's free to try so I'd say give it a shot! I'd just advise going against beginner AI instead of PVP right away, at least until you get the hang of controlling your characters.
Even after months of playing, when I try out a new champion (there are dozens of playable characters to choose from, but only about ten at a time are available to beginners in a rotating selection), I like to play a game vs intermediate AI to get the hang of that champ's individual skillset and quirks without the pressure of PVP. And that's when I already understand what to do in general.
