Forums - Gaming - L.A Noire Ending, will there be another one? *spoilers*

*Please do not read any further if you haven't completed the game, this topic is filled with ending spoilers.*

I just beat L.A Noire yesterday, I  gotta say I liked the ending and I didn't.

Officer Earle was talking on the podium, does that mean they never completed the case? He was part of the the whole crooked operation that was going on. The developers must have made that happen for a reason, he didn't like Cole, but he was talking for him at the funeral. It was all an act.

Do you think there will be another game playing as Jack Kelso? I'd really like to see another game, I thought the whole concept of it was great, and it had a great story line as well.

Maybe I'm just confused...? After the credits were done it showed the flashback of them on the boat talking about selling the surplus morphine, so Jack knew about it the whole time, but wasn't in on it.

I gotta say though, hats off to them for making a well rounded story and a decent ending.

If you would like to add your thoughts or maybe clarify things that I missed that would be great.

Around the Network

I loved the game and I thought they missed a huge opportunity in the ending...
Since I bought the game I new there was a good chance Cole Phelps might die in the end. Red Dead experience and the whole "Noire" in the title of the game got me to expect it.
And though I don't think that his death as predictable story telling resource was a bad thing, I do think that his death was ridiculous and out of momentum. He could have been betrayed by a lapd, he could have failed in his talk with the ex flamethrower, he could have commited suicide... So many things!

Anyway, I loved the bittersweet flavour with which the game leaves you as you finish the experience. I loved the fact that that Earle moron gave the speech to gain political recognition, or that Cole Phelps happened to be a very very flawed man (you get to understand why their ex buddies hate him and even justify they shot him).

Awesome game. I hope there's a follow up.
