Forums - PC - Recommend me and good PC co-op game!

I need help deciding on what to play!

Me and my friend are really bored and are looking for a co-operative PC game that we can play during the summer holidays. We're pretty much into any game, can any of you help and recommend me some?

So far we've played...

Diablo II (Religiously)

Baldur's Gate II

System Shock 2 (Co-op Mod)

Age of Empires III

Serious Sam: First Encounter

Dungeon Siege

Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos

Get an RPG (Diablo, Baldur's Gate or Dungeon Siege 2). You will have a nice summer. You can get Doom 3 and there is a mod out there for co-op play. You can also try Counter Strike and Unreal Tournament 2004 with bots or online. Try other games that are playable on GameRanger.

Thanks, shall look into them. We both have played Diablo 1 and tend to use Tunngle for games. I've heard about the Doom 3 mod, shall have a look into that too.

Dungeon Siege 2 I'd love to play co-op but it simply doesn't work. Period, the networking on that game was programmed by drunk monkeys.

Baldur's Gate we've also played, really awesome and in-depth.

Perhaps maybe Civ game? I recently got Civ5 and it is decent. I don't enjoy it as much as Civ3 but that doesn't mean I still had fun. Perhaps getting Civ4 complete (with all the expansions) would be a better idea. You can play online together and just team up against everyone. Pretty much you could be allied and the other players wouldn't even know. Used to do something like that in Starcraft 1. Me and friend would join a 4v4 comp game or whatever and act like we didn't know each other. Then one of us would un-ally with everyone (thus the map going dark so they knew you are no longer ally) and then people would be like hey that guy is trying to kill us get him. We would then wage fake wars against each other or whatever. Eventually the other person would un-ally and we would kill them all. So they were going into the game thinking it would be an easy comp win when they end up with a loss (backstab). Was a dick move but would always crack me up seeing people bitch at me.

Not sure how you played Diablo 2 religiously.  Perhaps, I did at one point but after my billionth Baal run I pretty much got tired of it.  Once you get to lvl 92 or so it takes way too damn long to level up.  Perhaps I should do the hardcore mode where you die once and you are dead (but I would probably lag and die or some bs and that would piss me off).

Yeah that's a good idea, we both have Civ 4 with all the expansions. Didn't really like Civ 5, got rid of all the in-depthness that the others had.

Just to name some RTS games we both have - Warcraft III + Expansion, Starcraft II (My friend doesn't really like it), Age of Mythology/Empire.

I just typed good co op games for PC and got this link..

http://www.co-optimus.com/system.php?id=4&page=0

It seems to have some very old games on there also (I just saw Hexen).   Although I did notice it says Duke Nukem 3D had co op campaign available online...  I never knew that considering I never belonged to the TEN game network (I think that is what it was called).  I just played 1v1 against my friend on 28/56k modems back in the day.

Seems to be a decent site and tells you if there is co op modes, co op campaigns, etc...

Was looking on that site before you posted it. I've played LOADS of those games, not Hexen but apparently my friend doesn't want to play it (Damn him). Are there any on there you could recommend? At a glance from a couple of pages from Co-optimus I've got... Arma II, Civ V, Baldur's Gate II, Dungeon Lords, Diablo II, Killing Floor, Shadowgrounds, Icewind Dale.

We're already bored and the summer holidays haven't even started! :(

Double Post -.-

Hexen probably way too old of game unless you don't care about graphics (pretty much looks like Doom). I assume you prefer game-play over graphics.

Of course! Old games are the best :)

Hexen looks good, kinda like Doom, but my friend is being awkward and doesn't want to play it.

I kinda want something new, something awesome, we started playing Nox aswell which is ace.

We've got Terraria too.
