4J Studios, the minds behind ports of the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Perfect Dark, are helping Mojang AB's Markus "Notch" Persson translate heavy-duty indie hit Minecraft to Xbox 360 and Kinect.

Notch told all on Twitter last night, commenting: "They seem to have a very good mentality, and obviously are very talented."

"I'm a big fan of their previous work, and they've been working closely with Microsoft in the past," the indie gaming celebrity added. He even had a kind word for 4J's troubled riot sim State of Emergency. "The marketing wasn't perfect, but the game was a lot of fun."

Why not get going on another perfect dark instead!!!

I'm still surprised that Minecraft is coming to Kinect. An odd choice in platform considering you really have to have complete control of the game, and you click/push buttons very repetitively. I'd imagine that'd become very cunbersome very quick with Kinect.
