Well, here in Brazil i never saw someone with a unmodded console. New PS3 games cost something like 130 dollars (orange box,ut3) and 75 to 90 dollars when they old (like ninja gaiden ,the darkness, etc..). I heard of people that paid 500 dollars for rockband. How could you not buy pirated games? Luckily all my games come from Singapore at a good price.

I'm buying a Wii soon and it will be modded, new Wii games at 75 - 90 dollars and i can't afford it with the PS3.

Homever, when they come with a mod to ps3 i will not use it, i don't want to risk to be banned from psn.

If they want to "test" the game,go to a buddies place or rent it!
Go to EB or countless other used game dealers and get it cheap!
Go on-line to get it cheap as well.


Piracy killed the Dreamcast,almost killed Sega,and unless Sony is making a fortune on the PSP hardware they will not support it for long.

For music sometimes it's a no choice situation. For example, I have some original CDs and DVDs of the bands I like, but for some other bands it's impossible to find stuff here so I download it. But if I have the chance to buy it, I do.

Movies are sold very cheap here, 2 DVDs for 1 dollar, but I find it pointless as you can download them... but I still don't download them. I prefer the THX sound and super big screen of the cinemas. In the anime department, I don't think it's piracy of it's aired on open TV on Japan hehe.

On the software department, I use free software most of the time... except my Windows copy of course. About games, I'm sure Electronic Arts loves me as much as I love them... if you know what I mean.

Piracy is extremely bad and not one good thing comes out of piracy. Little do people know when purchasing bootleg DVD's that it fund terrorist groups and mafias. I kid you not, it is the truth although many people think otherwise. In my city, Mississauga, Ontario. There was a flea market that was recently raided and over $1.3 million worth of counterfiet DVD's were collected. This was the biggest counterfiet bust in Canadian history. It was on the front paper. The codename for the operation was called Project Hollywood.

I hate people who pirate games. They can all go kill themselves. Why don't you just spend the 60-70 bucks?
