Forums - Sony - If things go as planned, PS4 Launch will get good exclusives

Gran Turismo 6 would be absolutely amazing as a PS4 launch title. That game alone would give people a reason to spend the $299 (I sure as hell hope that's all it costs) on a Playstation 4. Any other good titles like LittleBigPlanet 3 or Uncharted 4/New Naughty Dog IP would just be icing on the cake.

PS4 launch titles awesome!! k maybe this is too much

That lineup and the PS4 costing $299 or less would be the best launch of any console in history. Even if just 2-3 of the 8 games you listed was a PS4 launch title it would be one of the better launches ever for a console.

I still think its coming in 2014

To make this happen there should be atleast SOME kind of ps4 dev kits floating around and i don't think that this is the case. Atleast not yet.

if ps4 could have agent and sony needs to claim a 3rd party exlcusive like assasins creed since ubisoft prefers the ps3 version over 360 but they have to spend money to make money and for christ sake dont put a baby in a commercial next time and i do not want to hear $599 us dollers

ps4 needs to have kevin butler

Dude those timed exclusives Microsoft bought cost like 50-mill a peice last I heard. The titles eventually came to PS3 anyways and didn't really push that much Microsoft hardware. Sony also purchased some content for Batman and what good did that do?  If Sony wants to make improvements and sell more hardware then they need more exclusives (Your right) but paying 50+ million for a six month exclusive deal with a developer, not worth it. Sony could develop two great first party games for a budget of 50 million. So two exclusives in exchange for one timed exclusive from a third party? Its a no brainer a gamer would much rather get two AAA+ Sony developed games then one timed third party exclusive.

I think the only time I can remember that a timed exclusive truly benefitted a console would be RE4. Nintendo needed that boost from Capcom. But honestly how much did Microsoft gain from all its exclusives? Not very much!

At E3 it slipped that third parties may have had WiiU early dev kits for about 3 years. Nobody knew anything about the WiiU until a few months ago. If Sony gave kits to their most trusted third party partners and put NDA's on them, then dev kits could already be in the hands of developers. I have no doubt the PS4 is already almost ready for the market, Sony has had five years to produce it and it must be nearing the end of its dev cycle so dev kits wouldn't be that hard to believe.

Yea, that would = the best launch line up I have ever seen. If priced right it could destroy the competition.

The only problem on PS3 is because are the most expensive hardware on the market, but is the best with no doubt. PS4 just need to have a competitive price already in its early years.

did a playstation console ever didnt get great exclusives?
