Forums - Sony - Insomniac Games respond to complaints about Resistance 3’s PSN demo

Examiner

The Resistance 3 playable boat demo appeared for a short time on the Asian Playstation Store yesterday. A few fans who were able to get their hands on the demo before it was taken down expressed their disappointment with the trial version of the upcoming first-person shooter, especially in regards to the graphics. James Stevenson, Senior Community/Marketing Manager of Insomniac Games, responded to these complaints on the NeoGAF forum:

Keep in mind this is linear, moody, environmental story piece. It's also really old code as it had to get on the Battle: LA Blu-ray months ago. I still think if you turn up the sound and turn off the lights, you'll have a good time and get a great feel for the tone of R3.

Tim Salvitti also added the following in regards to the demo build on Insomniac Games forum:

The build is a couple months old (to be included in the Battle: LA disc).  It is a complete demo though (not leaked code).  Since then we have added a lot more polish and tweaks to the entire game.

James Stevenson also revealed why the demo was taken down from the Asian Playstation Store:

It's only supposed to be tied to vouchers in some territories, not public.
