Gamer is playing Mario Galaxy on the big screen. His wife comes in and asks "which one is that?"
"The new Mario."
Wife picks up a magazine. After a second she puts it down and walks out of the room.
The screen dims and then comes back up. The gamer is still playing Mario on the big screen. His wife walks back into the room, this time with a bunch of friends. "What are you playing now?"
"The new Mario."
"Can we play Kinect?"
"Sure." Gamer turns his Wii U to tablet mode, and the group of friends starts playing Kinect.
Again the screen dims and comes back up. Now the husband has joined the group of friends, dancing around and laughing in front of the TV screen with Kinect.
The camera slowly tips downward until you see the Wii U tablet laying on the couch, still on. Mario looks up from the screen at the friends having fun. He taps on the screen and says, sheepishly, "But itsa me!"
Bold type overlay: KINECT.
"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."
Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.
