Some good news for me. Finally bought Atelier Rorona Plus and now I'll be going back and playing in order and hopefully platinuming them all lol.

Having a look at the Koei Tecmo tweet about Ar no Surge (not the NISA blurred one), I noticed a certain number of comments by fans stating bad things about NISA (price, censorship, etc.).
Why?
NISA has been a godsend publisher for Vita in Europe (P4G on card!).
Did NISA do something wrong with some PS3 games that I don't know about?...

They censored the bathing scenes of Mugen Souls & Mugen Souls Z.

Then they announced they were localizing Criminal Girls but censoring it.

Then they released the European store with absolutely ridiculous prices for it.

 

I love NISA and will defend them to death by the way.  I'd rather get these games censored than not at all.  But a lot of the hardcore, forum-going fans boycott their games if there's even a whiff of censorship.  Which is why the Mugen Souls limited edition still hasn't sold out.

I don't get the gate. Some people really don't seem to grasp what a huge cultural difference there is between Japan and the West. I'd rather have a censored version than nothing at all which seems to be some people's preference.

It's just entitlement again and tbh most likely to have a good old boycott of something they would never have bought anyway.

I saw TK America actually respond for once and say that the game is coming to NA as well as a TK game and was quite specific too in hindsight. I assume they had a deal where NISA would deal with the Vita game, assuming because NISA can afford to make physical copies or something, and TK would have probably only went digital with it. In short it would be good for both sides. Vita games physical cards are more costly than PS3 games so a smaller team like NISA can afford a smaller profit margin because of being a smaller size and being made basically to deal with these things. Just my thoughts on it though.

Ohh yes please!! 10GB are taken up with the Arland series as of this moment. I'd love not to take up any more space with Atelier lol.
