Will the game even turn a profit on Xbone? Given install base atm plus the interest in jrpgs I can't see more than 100k FY. Especially if it's $60 or more.

Square is probably thinking of maximizing profits by releasing Type-0 HD on the next gen consoles while giving next gen console owners fales praise for begin faithfull. And Sony isn't thinking about the vita at all.

A Vita version would make a lot more profits then Xbox one since xbox brand is irrelevant in Japan



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Well as much as Id have loved to play it on my Vita I'm just glad it's finally coming. I have a PS4 so i'll be buying it on that but it really does suck the way this thing was handled.

I already have. It's been retweeted and favorited numerous times in the last few minutes.  I let them know that I'm disappointed with their decision and will no longer be purchasing their products.

I think SE stated that the reason they're releasing an HD version is for the west that means the xbox band is a lot stronger then the vita name.

You know what? I don't normally bother with this stuff, but if they're doing a HD remake, they can easily apply that translation to the PSP game for Vita owners so what the hell.
