They could release GTA 6 exclusively on Vita, it would be announced GOTY in every publication and the consensus would still be. I want this, but the Vita has nothing worth buying so now I'll have to miss out :(

Given that Danganronpa is a Vita exclusive series, why would they even be interested in the 2nd one if they don't have a Vita one? Was there a fan sub of it on another system?

It was originally on the Piracy Station Portable.

I see what you did there (and I may have to steal it at some point) :)

Meanwhile I shall sit in judgement on these scumbags having never pirated anything in my life

On the plus side when DR3 comes out their argument will be moot because there will never be a PSP version

Ys: Memories of Celceta is pretty great.

The visuals could need a bit more work considering the hardware but the music more than makes up for it.

combat is great too !

The game is from fall 2012 in japan, is one of the first wave of games... most of first games on vita seems like upgraded PSP games (Resistance burning Skies, Shinobido, lord of Apocalipsys, Ridge racer)... but still some others have some really neat graphics for launch games.. like Uncharted GA, gravity Rush, Wipeout 2048, Unit13...

ysis kinda midway between last gen portable games and a proper vita game.. Raganrok too...

That is true. I just think it would look even better at native res. and maybe a bit AA...

game is still great though !

infact: I´m quite surprised just how much I´m enjoying just exploring the map !

It's also a Falcom game, they know that if they focus on great gameplay and to a lesser extent, story, people will buy it, that's how they've survived so well for nearly 30years - they know what sells, they don't get over ambitious and they just do what they do as well as they can. That's the formula which has made the Ys and Kiseki games so well loved by their fanbase.

Even the Japanese behemoth publishers and devs like Squenix will collapse before Falcom :)

I wish them all the best, a publsher/ developer known fur consistent quality deserves it in my books.

...and yes, I see Squeenix close to irrelevant/ dead by the end of the next generation :(

I thought same when I read the article.

"the vita is shit because it can't run any pirated copies, and I hate the publisher now because he wants to earn some money (his existence's reason) by making this game on an unhackable device."

Now I know what's wrong with the gaming world.

I hope the Vita and 3DS never get hacked, the last thing the dedicated hanhdeld market needs is piracy eating into software sales.

Fuck pirates !

To be fair I think given that smartphone games seem to boosting their income nicely I'd say it's actually a fairly viable business, question is can they build Final Fantasy back up to what it once was? It'll be a hell of challenge, but the reception for FFXIV:ARR gives me some hope, as does what little I've seen so far of FFXV. Plus don't forget in the midst of the XIII-trilogy they still made Type-0 which is supposedly excelent (not that I'd know being a dirty gaijin)

Come on SE, give it to us on Vita :(

I wouldn't worry, Sony have Vita locked down like Fort Knox, I doubt it will ever become a serious problem. 3DS might be alright, though it's defintiely more vulnerable due to normal SD cards, plus being more popular it's probably more of a target

I hope you are right....I´m just less optimistic (especially their focus on smartphone, browser and gree games)

...but this is getting waaaay off topic

I wonder if Sony could put Android into Vita in the way Amazon have implemented it so that it's only compatible with the Vita store (you can only buy Apps through amazon for the Kindle Fire etc) and that way, they could just get the big name mobile games onto PSN store such as the FF/DQ ports etc.

That said Unity should help anyway, but if they could also get the iOS/Android games like Deus Ex and Mass effect onto the system with full physical controls. That'd make the Vita a more desirable proposition. Chuck in a "Mobile Phone" model Vita further down the line haha.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.
