Anyway, I played a bit of Ys: Oath of Felghana yesterday to see how good PSP games look on the Vita. Holy hell, I mean, it is apparent that it isn´t running at native resolution, but compared to the shitty display of my PSP 2000 ? Night and Day, looks great. There are EVEN more games to play for me now, with me not giving the PSP the attention it deserved. ....well then, No Gaemz, I guess.

Agreed. I've been playing it recently as well and I'm really starting to regret ignoring PSP and going DSi only last handheld gen. There are so many awesome PSP games still waiting for me to play. It's a huge pity that so many of them aren't on PSN, so I won't be able to play them on Vita :/
BTW. Can't wait for FFX to come to Europe It will be a pain to plat, but I can easily see myself sinking 100+ hrs in it.

It sucks, generally, that you can only play PSP games on the Vita by buying a digital copy. I really don't like buying digital versions of retail games, hence why my PSP is actually used more than my Vita at the moment.
One of the great things about the 3DS is (aside from it's own great library, of course) that I only need to carry one console with me to play almost every game that was released on Nintendo handhelds since 2005. Actually, you only need a GBA SP and a 3DS to have access to the whole library of Nintendo handheld games. That's one of the great things about them (Downside is the region lock on 3DS and DSi. I love the Vita so much for not having region lock).
I mean, I get that they didn't want to implement a UMD drive into the Vita. Would probably be clunky as fuck. I still don't get why they thought that an optical medium would be ok to be used with a handheld console. Not only did that kill off any chance of the Vita having (physical) backwards compatibility, but it also means that the PSP games are the only handheld games I don't carry around all the time since the UMDs are so prone to breaking. It's annoying.
