Which is a ridiculously terrible price, and doesn't add much to this argument other than "Nintendo can get away with overpricing their HD "collections". |
Looking at sales so far I don't think they can...well, not on Wii U at least.

The Reborn kickstarter is up and it looks fucking ace. I'm pretty excited about this game, whatever platform it ends up on.
But... I'm having trouble fathoming whether it's coming to Vita or not. In the first paragraph they say:
"[...] a new action-role playing game for PS4; PS3; PS Vita; Steam & Xbox One"
Then underneath it says that Vita is a Tier-4 stretch goal.
If you look at the Tier 4 stretch goals, it says:
"PlayStation Vita multi-player; cross-play & cross-controller as a second screen".
That makes it sound like it's only the multi-player component which is coming to Vita or something.
Anyway, if you're interested, it's there. Not doing too hot at the moment to be honest.

Love the concept art.

But still, full price for Wind Waker HD is extortionate. It's an anomaly, and shouldn't be used as an example of "well this collection looks good by comparison". |
They even gave away the complete hd collection on ps+ at once, instead of one game after another each month.I would not have done so-but it is a great service.
Sadly Wind Waker is no Anomaly. It is Nintendos business as usuall. They started to release full price remakes/hd/ports with Zelda64 on 3ds(though oot is one of my alltime favourites i got really angry about the price)
tbh i like to mention this again and again as nintendo fans were complaining about hd games untill nintendo started to do the same. Now they don't even like hd games(as long as they call them remakes),they even don't complain about the price, but it seems(as sal. paradise correctly wrote) finally they react the right way considering ww hd sales numbers.

damnnnn!! i allways thought the vita had good black levels, but not that good! wow! |
OLED offers perfect black levels. This is why the comments about LCD colours being superior always makes me laugh, if your spectrum ranges from white to grey, you can't physically reproduce any colours accurately. OLED will always beat LCD. Whether personally you prefer the shiny washed out look of LCD that's fair enough. Some people prefered Laserdisc to DVD.

How much did they change with Wind Waker? I thought a lot of content had been added to it and they have also fixed the "broken" parts of the original GameCube game.
If the visuals also got a complete overhaul, I have no problem with the price. If it's just an upscale then yeah, "full price" is a joke.

No idea. But it took 6 months to develop, so you've gotta believe it's not that much.
And besides, plenty of the HD Collection "upscales" have fixes in them as well (although, never any additional content); and they still manage to pack 3 games into a still-cheaper package.
Though, I said I wasn't going to do comparisons, so I'll leave it there :P
By fixes, I mean they completely reworked parts of the game. I'm actually tempted to give it a spin purely because they have improved the bit that drove me insane on the original. But yeah I wasn't asking for comparisons, I don't know enough about the game to give a full opinion yet :)
