I'm considering a Vita again because it's on sale for $199.99 right now with a 4 GB memory card and a game I will probably sell and Persona 4 Golden is on sale as well for $29.99 right now. One problem is, I would like to get caught up on the PSP library that I missed out on as well, but most of the games I would want aren't even on the PSN Store like Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, the Star Oceans, and Metal Gear Ac!d 2 (there may be others that I'm forgetting). Also, I'm a huge JRPG fan so having the PSOne Classics playable on the Vita is nice as well as the other JRPG's on it or coming to it, but the PSP can also play those PSOne Classics. So based on that, I'm not sure if it's worth getting a Vita or maybe I should just get a PSP. Or maybe I should wait until E3 to see what Sony has planned for the Vita.

One thing is for sure, if Tales of Innocence R and/or Tales of Hearts R were to get localized to NA, then I would buy a Vita in a heartbeat. I get every system that Tales games release on (in North America).

How long is the sale going on? If its done before e3 just take advantage of it now but if it goes past e3 then I would say wait and see what they have in store. Persona 4 Golden is reason enough to buy a Vita plus you can get Persona 3 Portable as well (and even the PS1 Persona's for that matter). You can get PSP's as cheap as $60 refurbished so depending on what you have to spend you could buy both!

The sale ends on June 2nd I believe so before E3. If the PSP games I mentioned were on the PSN Store I'd obviously go for the Vita (and again, especially if Tales of Innocence R and Tales of Hearts R were released in North America), but as it stands I have to have that tough "on the fence" feeling. I definitely won't be buying both though because regardless of which one I buy I'll be paying a fair bit extra for games, PSN cards, and memory cards.

Are there any other Vita games that interest you?  If not then maybe wait on the Vita but if there are 3 or 4 other Vita games that have caught your eye then Vita no question. Its hard for me to play any of my other systems right now because the Vita just feels so right for playing games so I'm sure if you get one you won't regret it but if there just isn't more than P4G on your radar then opted for the PSP.

Switch Galaxy being remade for PSN, with "tons of new levels".

Glad I held off really, I'll make sure I pick the remake up.

A PSP is way cheaper than a Vita, but if you intend to go digital with the PSP then you're out of luck for Kingdom Hearts and Crisis Core since both are also not available on the PSP PSN store. But if you can get it on UMD for cheaps then that would be cool!

Personaly, I'd go with a PSVita. Even though I'd love to play those two games two and STar Ocean 2 (Best SO game by the way), there are still a lot of good JRPGs on the Vita store such as Crimson Gem Saga, Persona 1-3, Disgaea, Legend of Heros: trials in the sky (or something, been meaning to get this but my money keeps on going to newer Vita games..but one of these days...). Though the PSP can play PSP and PSOne games, with the Vita you can play plenty of PSP games, PSOne games, PSN games and the entire Vita library which is Awesome! (Persona 4: Golden, Gravity Rush, Disgaea 3, Ragnarok Odyssey, Senran Kagura Shinvi VS..yeah..I went there lol!, Earth Defense Force, Atelier Totori...I'll get this eventually! Mark my words!!! and Soul Sacrifice which is a good game but there seems to be something lacking...)

Also, if you're looking for JRPGs, Ys something something has been confirmed to be geting a western release, as well as valhala knights 3 aaaannndddd....yeah...thats about it.

If you have the money to burn, and I mean lots of greens coz 4Gb just wont cut it if you plan to go digital, you'll need to buy a 16Gb minimum, then money for games and stuff....yeah... If you have the money then go for the Vita. If extra cash is an issue, then you cant go wrong with a PSP (especially with you know...um...yeah....ahahaha never mind )

Awesome news. I've done about half of the PSMobile version but would love to see it re-released with more polish.

Yeah, that was another thing I was trying to be aware of. Currently there aren't too many I'm excited about, just P4G, Atelier Totori Plus, and Gravity Rush (again, if Tales of Innocence R and Tales of Hearts R get localized to North America, then those would be the only two games I need) and then the rest are ones I want to try just for the hell of it like Ragnarok Odyssey and Silent Hill: Book of Memories. Ys is one I'd probably get when it releases and Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster I'm getting for sure (though on the PS3 if I don't get a Vita), but because they are separate on Vita i'm not sure if they will be priced too well. Aside from those I don't think there are many others I'm interested in unless I'm overlooking some obvious ones.

Yeah, all the reasons you mentioned for a Vita are why I'm considering it. Having the Personas and Trials in the Sky on the Vita along with a collection of Vita games and PSOne Classics would be awesome, but as you mentioned there aren't a whole lot of JRPG's on the horizon unless Tales of Innocence R and Tales of Hearts R were to get localized, but that's not sounding likely. Also Mind=0 looks cool, but has yet to be announced for NA. As for memory cards, I was thinking of putting up with a 4GB for now, and then hope that a price cut on memory cards is announced at E3 at which point I'd likely get a 32GB card. Though, I wonder if Sony might announce a price cut on the Vita itself to $199.99 and new bundles at that price point where you get larger than 4GB memory cards. If that were the case then I'd just wait until E3 I guess. Decisions, decisions.

Well... I think there's a High posibilty of price cut on Vita for E3, that's if SONy wish to make a good second half of the year and help those games that are releasing soon after that event... A memory cads price cut would be great too. So I think you should wait a little and see... less than a month and probably some rumours could confirm all before the E3 itself.

Very true, good point. I'll hold off for now, but I hope P4G doesn't become too difficult to find by the time I get a Vita (if I get one) because I like to avoid digital purchases whenever possible.
