Ok, so Soul Sacrifice only sold 32k in NA which doesn't match up to the preorder numbers AND the Vita sold double this week?

32k is really dissapointing.. SONy should have price cutted the Vita for Soul Sacrifice on the west too.. if they don't price cut the vita for the E3 is almost like they don't want support it anymore... I'm sure that by now the components on the PSVita are cheap enough to take the risk of a price cut on all the world..

No soul sacrifice does well it a new IP man a big serie like Call of dutty sold only 75k first week and Uncharted does 25k and Assasin creed 50k, 32k is rezlly good number for Soul Sacrifice.

Preordr number were above 40k... and end barely over 30k... just don't make sense..  and Ragnarok odissey was a New IP too.. Gravity Rush was too.. and made far better than this..  dissapointing, not in the game.. in the people.. unless most of people did go digital like... that's the only way it make sense...

35k (not 32k, you guys are reading it wrong; check again) is absolutely fine for Soul Sacrifice.

As I've said somewhere else before (can't remember where); Monster Hunter 3DS sold 46k FW in the USA. Considering it is effectively the "Call of Duty" of the genre, you can't really expect much from SS.

As Chandler pointed out in last week's UK sales thread, too, the fact that SS is £5 less on PSN than it is physical(at least in the UK) may have led to a few more people buying digital rather than physical.

I have no problem with the numbers anyway. Pretty much bang in line with what I'd expect. The hardware boost was unexpected, however. Gonna wait on NPD to see what they have to say about that.

Soul Sacrifice had 41k preorders but only sold 35k. Either VGchartz's numbers are wrong or the other 6k people didn't pick up their preorders. What does NPD stand for anyway?

Speaking of Soul Sacrifice, the game just trolled me big time!

I was like, where does this chapter go...then boom! end game boss...finished the main story way sooner than I would have liked...BOOOOOO!!!

Then if that wasn't enough, first time I beat the end game boss, my damn Vita froze!!! I had to do the battle all over again...double BOOOOO!!!!!

I think that Soul Sacrifice has been heavily downloaded by its buyers.

As for Europe, numbers will tell, but:

- The game has been out only from the 3rd of may (and chart timespan goes just to 4th)
- It hasn't been stocked by some retail chains (but was available at Game Stop)
- The download was made available on the 1st of may, which is holiday, and went probably unnoticed until the day after.

So we could have a disappointing European First Week of sales, with a surprising second one.

Ragnarok  is not a new IP and Soul Sacrifice sold just like Gravity Rush.

But i agree it didn't swll well in Europe.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

It's become fare easier to download the game, then to hope your local game store stocks it. It's kind of a double edge sword for sony. On one hand they get more money, on the other people walk in to games store looking at tthe low game count on the shelf and walk away. Although it's not the case if you look on PSN.

The pre-order charts here are absolutely horrible.  I wouldn't use them as anything other than a vague gauge of popularity.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but can you please try to use more commas or full stops instead of ... ? I know you're not a native speaker (neither am I) and this is off topic, just something to consider.

Whaaaat? I've been playing non stop a day before it came out and I still haven't finished the game. Either you're amazing at it or I simply suck :-/

What level are you?
