This is just "select a scene from a menu, be dropped into the middle of the fight, and good luck!" That is not fun. Collecting spells for sacrifice can be fun, yes, and accumulating things to combine and improve is good, and upgrading one's character is fine, but as mentioned, I've never seen a game so well made be so unengaging...aside from Final Fantasy XIII, and you all know what I felt about that game. |
Well.. For me that was a little dissapointment... really.. I was hoping a full fledged RPG with worlds or at least a town to explore... but Still I like this still of game... is not that different from Monster Hunter and Ragnarok, but have less exploration... one of my hopes for a second game is to have more traditional RPG things apart from the development of the character...

He'll penalize it for not being what he wants, and not base it on the fact it's a monster hunting game with an actual story. and like every other game in existence, you learn more about your characters as the story unfolds. Not sure how you didn't care about Sortiara though. I cared deeply about a character and that was just about 1.5 hours in. |
Like I said to somefriends that complained about the same: "For a engaging story, some sacrifice should have been made" And really Sortiara's story was really good... and on the full game, the others sorcerers story... and MORE... The Story is actually very fullfulling!
Ah, the joy of handhelds. After fighting a griffin for about 20 minutes online with three other guys, we finally managed to beat it and when I was about to see my results, my battery died.
(Canadian) Rage!!! Oh well.
lol, that never happens to me. probably cause im a battery whore who uses the lowest brightness and is checking the battery level every 10 minutes

If we are thinking about same thing, then it's not from Team Ninja but from Omega Force. The game is called Toukiden.
Another good hunting game is Ragnarok Odyssey.

That game is Toukiden as Tom3k said... and there's Ragnarok odissey already out since last year.. But this year release in Japan Ragnarok Odissey ACE, that's the same game plus some extras for PS3 and PSVita, not sure when will be available for the western but probably beginning of the next year... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15LxCeE23sg There's a trailer...

But meanwhile You can still enjoy Soul Sacrifice, because there are tree FREE DLC slated for this month till June... with more bosses, magics, rites, missions, and Aumented Reality functions...
