This is why Vita is failing, £35 for a digital only release...

Sony should sort this shit out, message to publishers should be resonable prices or fuck off. Vita deserves to die with crap like this.

$40 for physical copy in US, even removing VAT from UK price it works out $47, and we only have digital...

no stupid statements like this needs to die. I mean wtf. Think it's too expensive? don't buy it and stop whining about every damn thing already. It will go down in price in time and if it hits the price you like then buy it. Sony can't force publishers to do w/e they want to do. There will be some who would love to have this game even at this price

First, yes Sony can force publishers by denying them a release, MS do it all the time and they all bend to it and consumers (that is me and you) benefit from it.  SCEE never does this, they are complete shit and don't really care how the end result affects the consumer.

The game actually costs more than the original release of the game, twice as much almost.  Imagine if Sony ported Resistance 1 to PS Vita, then made it digital only asked about $110 US for it, that is what we are looking at here.  There is no defending this.

oh I'm not defending the price...it's very stupid no doubt about that. But vita is NOT in a position for sony to say no to games. And like I said there is a small set of people who would love to have the game even at that price. With poor sales they won't have a choice but to drop it the price...if not, their loss. But saying the system or the sony is to blame is just really reaching. Sony have done a lot of stupid shit with the vita but I don't think this as one of them. Guess we will agree to disagree

@Teflon: come on now. We complain about many many things about vita and sony. I am not even sure why you would say that. Listen some people (yes including me) are fine with digital only releases. As long as I get the game I'm fine with that..especially if the choice is either that or not getting the game at all. Would I love more options? Sure. But sadly vita does not sell well enough to instill confidence on developers, especially those who have not released a game on it yet. So yes I am fine with it. But I don't think anyone would attack you for it...and they definitely shouldn't.

Do people feel this thread has out lived it's purpose now? Be honest

I've been attacked for saying I refused to buy New Little Kings Story because it99 being released for full retail price but choosing DL only. Same when I said I lost all interest in EDF because of it and because a few pages ago I said I can't justify paying more then $19.99 for a DL only game and person replies saying not this argument again..., yet it's not a argument but me stating a opinion based off info I've gotten from Sony and insomniac on different occasions. I don't mean like F U type attack, but always someone jumping to conclusions saying something completely unnecessary. Not even my first time complaining, and I'm not the only one who this has happened to. What annoys me about this too is, they'll keep doing this unless people complain. And what else is the Digital buyers complain about small stuff like wanting to paying $35.99 instead of $39.99 and they already don't pay tax online. They wanna be picky as hell but I'm not allowed to feel a company is wrong for full prices game releases digital only? No sense in it.

Damn... I guess I will miss these offers if they don't expand the PSM service fast.

Can anyone confirm this works in the US as well? I bought the game before and now it shows up as free, so I assume it does work for those in the US. Making the PSM store universal?

just played that free game, samurai beatdown... it wasnt worth the 1minute download. i doubt the games on this list will get much better

Mugen, I really believe this thread is very important and relevant for all our Vita comunity!

About the discussion of digital versus phisical release, everyone is entitled to have his personal opinion and everyone should respect that. I simply don't care if it is phisical or not, all I care is if the game is worth or not the price they are asking (I usually prefer digital because prices here on Brasil are outrageous).

Hopefully we will see some new big titles announced soon, coupled by small indie titles (ports and specially new ones). This combination, imo, is the road to success for PS Vita.

I can confirm, it is indeed free now! I had no idea the store
was global, what a surprise!

I believe the thread still has a purpose and I also don't believe we should expect everyone in here to always get along.

Also the argument a few days ago was mainly bc the guy said digital games are low quality. Which I think was so sort of misunderstanding bc that part of the argument was never really addressed
