Been through all the videos now and I've already started narrowing down my shortlist for launch titles. Wonder when it'll launch in the West; have they confirmed it'll be this year?

been reading various articles on it and it seems they are still finalizing it. Today read a rumor saying SCEE is being a big mess about the launch. But yea so far they have said they will launch it this year at least in one region. I hope they get it out by xmas

what's your shortlist so far?

The region being Japan. Bah! :( That might be good though, could come to the West during a dry spell in 2012.

WipEout 2048
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Rayman Origins
Virtua Tennis 4
F1 2011
Gravity

Silent Hill
Ruin
Oddworld

Mortal Kombat

The last 4 being unlikely for various reasons, but will keep an eye on them. The frst 6 I'm more interested in but could still rule a couple of them out.

yeah Japan will be a given I guess, I might not be able to pick it up until end of march next year anyways (last bit of my undergrad)

for me

Uncharted

Gravity

Wipeout

Sound Shapes

so far. most prob will get sf vs tekken on it too tho, I love fighters on the go

The LiveArea UI looks very fluid and easy to use. Uncharted looks great too.

I like the rhythm platformer thing that Sound Shapes does, but I have zero music creativity and a large part of that game seems to be the 'Create' aspect, so I think I'll pass.

yeah I know what you mean..I'm hoping it's easy to grasp and experiment with..maybe even create/share levels like LBP.  Hope they keep it extremely user friendly, one thing I thought patapon lacked a bit

I read previews about Sound Shapes and majority of them say that the game's create mode is really easy to use and user-friendly thus you don't need to practice for hours just to create anything amazing. Its REALLY easy to make levels and the awesome thing is that you make music while making the level. You don't need any music creativity, just your imagination =) If you do get the PS Vita you can't pass this game up xD

something to note for Shuei

""Right after PSP we moved on to the PS3 launch. We shifted too many resources out of PSP."

So Yoshida acknowledged that software support for the system has been poor, he continued:

"We do not want to make the same mistake, so we always look at balancing PS3 and Vita.""

VERY good sign imho...Sony seems to know what needs to be done on the sw front as well
